If OSu is so garbage, you are takin away from the fact that Florida, LSU, and Texas have been terrific teams these past few years.
I like the point you're trying to make, here. Badmouthing the Buckeyes takes away from those other teams' accomplishments in beating the Buckeyes the last three years, which is unfair to the Buckeyes and to those other teams. I guess the people who like to badmouth the Buckeyes don't see things that way.

Okay then what is the deal we all feel that Ohio State is not getting the job done you should like a OSU homer you talk about the conference you talk about the fans, but that is cool the truth is the truth you match up the Big 10 against those conferences you spoke about and see how well they do.And speaking for everyone in here we don't think it is a high school conference. The Big 10 needs to get there stuff together when it is time to show up they stay at home.
Two years ago the Buckeyes weren't ready for their game with the Gators and justifiably lost. The last two years they simply were beaten by better teams. So what's the problem? Teams get beat by better teams all the time. I don't see anybody complaining about Oklahoma's football team, and they've been embarrassed more often in recent bowl games than the Buckeyes have! No, I'm not a Big 11 "homer," nor am I a Big 11 fan - I just think that some of the criticism being leveled at the Buckeyes is unfair. Or that if it is fair, then it is unfair to single them out for that criticism the way so many people seem to like to do.

Tressel deserves a lot of credit for having a game plan to damn near win. Great game for McCoy, but an equally great performance from the Buckeye D. Wells had a good game as well with over 100 yards rushing. Maybe if the Longhorns had a legit rushing ****** they'd be national champions.
Thank you. At least somebody is willing to acknowledge that the Buckeyes gave it all they had last night, even if "all they had" wasn't quite enough to win. At least they didn't get blown out against the team that many people feel should be in the game on Thursday night.

Wow I see college football can be very crazy at time among the fans Hey give Ohio St. there props still should have won the game ,but I guess Texas was the better team.I was expecting a blowout my self but OSU hung in there great for them McCoy remembered what happened in the Texas Tech game and used it to his advantage.Besides the left Texas a Big 12 team way too much time on the clock 2:05 and Ohio State had there running game going.Grind the ball out to me the way the Big 12 played all season 2:05 is way too much time for a team like Texas:thumbsup:

Yeah. I think even the color commentator on that game (I forget who it was) made that very comment after the Buckeyes scored the touchdown that put them up 21 - 17. I was kind of hoping that the Buckeyes would score with less time on the clock than they did, but those are the breaks. They needed their defense to step up one last time and they couldn't do it. Oh, well. At least they kept it close and didn't get embarrassed the way they did last year and the year before.

Yeah, this makes a ton of sense. So we can't badmouth the Luckeyes because it soils the reputation and legitimacy of all who beat the mighty Luckeyes? How lame is that? No thanks, Luv. I'll continue to badmouth the luckeyes.

That's kinda been my sentiment about the Buckeyes all along. Yeah, they lost, but it sure as hell wasn't the blowout that SOME contributors to this forum were suggesting it would be!

Pretty much my sentiments exactly. Thank you. Texas won that game, but the Buckeyes made them WORK for it, didn't they?

My how the mighty have fallen. Now Ohio State fans are "happy" with moral victories? :1orglaugh Good grief! If this is the case, then LET US HOPE WE NEVER HAVE TO SUFFER THROUGH ANOTHER LUCKEYE BCS LOSS EVER AGAIN!
Either Texas was too rusty to blowout Ohio State or Texas simply isn't very good and maybe below Utah in the "real pecking order." I think Texas was too rusty last night. McCoy had a nice game statistically but it didn't translate into 50 points like it should've.

I am left to wonder how competitive Okie will be since they lost pretty handily to Texas already. I think Sam Bradford is the best QB in the nation, so we'll see.

Cool!! Then you won't mind when I continue to badmouth the Boise State Broncos that you love so much and who don't play anybody of substance more than about once a year, if that, right?

YOU think that Sam Bradford is the best quarterback in the country, eh? Then that pretty much guarantees that he's not, since you think you know so much but really don't. I don't care about either Florida OR Oklahoma, but I expect the Gators to kick OU's butt on Thursday. You opining that Sam Bradford is the best quarterback in college football should just about guarantee that! Thanks!

Where the f*ck did you get THAT from? Just 'cause I made a comment once about the Gators winning a game without the help of Jesus, as guys like Tim Tebow like to attribute their team's wins to? Funny, but I'm pretty sure I've been saying all along (at least since the matchup in the national championship game was made official) that I think Florida's going to win the national championship this year. Unlike you and your lover, "titsrock," I don't let my personal feelings about teams get in the way of making intelligent picks about their chances. I don't care about either Oklahoma OR Florida. I've never been a big fan of either team. I respect Urban Meyer as a coach, and to a slightly lesser extent, Bob Stoops as a coach. 60+ points in five straight games is impressive, no doubt about it, but watching Florida over the last few weeks of the season tells me that as good as Oklahoma is, Florida is even better. We'll find out for sure in a couple of days.

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Utah wrapped up the NC. Please man. Utah played an overrated Alabama team that never desvered to be in a bowl game in the first place.

Alabama never deserved to be in a bowl game to being with? The #1 team for most of the year and played well for most of the game against a very good Florida team in the SEC championship for their only loss at the time....and they don't deserve a bowl invitation?

USC, Florida and Oklahoma would destroy Utah. Probably Texas and OSU as well. Undefeated DOES NOT mean National Champ.

Depends on who is doing the defining. If you mean BCS, I agree since the system ignores teams who should be given consideration. It's a grossly unfair system and I am protesting by declaring that Utah is MY national champion....I don't care what the BCS does since it is an illegitimate way of determining a champion.

Also, how do we know any of the teams you mention would "destroy" Utah? Are you clairvoyant? Or does your opinion somehow count for more than mine does? You can't tell me who will beat anybody....that's why they play the games (or, in this case, should play the games). That is the glaring downside of the BCS....it's based on polls and style points and coach's predisposed opinions and a bunch of computer geeks. If you think that's the right way to determine a champion, good for you. I don't.

Go ***** some more.

Where did that comment come from? Out of line, sir! I respect your right to your opinion so please don't disrespect mine, OK?

On another subject, I thought OSU played a helluva game yesterday. Congrats to McCoy and the 'horns for pulling it out but Ohio State gets way too much criticism on this board. They are a first-rate college football program beyond reproach.

Well I starting to thin about the OU/Flordia game Hopefully OU will show up and play well ,but before that what about the Tulsa/Ball State game do you guys think it well be a shootout.

Truer words were never posted. At least one other person has some sense in his head when it comes to the topic of Ohio State football.

obviously u slam everyone who doesnt agree with you...here we go again with the i dont care about these teams, blah, blah, blah...until u have some solid statement about these teams or what not, your statements are nonsense

I already said my last speech and argument about Boise State. I guess you forgot that already. If you want to blast away at them, go for it. Seeing as nobody else cares about Boise State on this board, and at this particular time in the year/season, I hope you'll have fun talking to yourself?:dunno:

I think Tim Tebow is the best PLAYER, but for pure, passing QBs, I like Sam Bradford. I think Bradford will be the best Pro prospect at QB out of Tebow, Sanchez and McCoy. Your boy Terrelle Pryor might be a great college QB in 3 years but he threw so poorly last night I wonder if he'll be able to complete a pass beyond 15 yards on the college level:thefinger Seriously, he hit so many grounders I was cringing! But the freaky running ability does make him very intriguing. I just think ohio state will have to keep a second QB on the bench in order to bring out to complete those 3rd and 20s that Pryor won't be able to run for next season.

I have, too, been predicting from the onset a big Florida win. The Big12's performance has been less than impressive so far in bowl season. However, Bama has had the worst loss of all and maybe they really were somewhat shittier than advertised. So maybe Florida has been taken down a couple of notches. My main problem with Okie was that CB trash-talking Tim Tebow. That might guarantee a big Okie loss. Okie can run the no huddle offense really well, maybe that will tire out that Florida D. There are a lot of variables going into the game.

I DO make solid statements, moron. It's just that you and your homosexual online lover don't "get it" because of the peas you have for brains. It's not my fault that you can't comprehend anything that doesn't have "ur" or "u" or "LMAO" in it. Are you homeschooled, or something?

uh oh, I feel a sense of urgency. Ok, who is rooting for Oklahoma? I bet they knock the **** out of Florida.

We will fucking see.. Ha.. That offense of OU broke all those records this year didn't they? I wonder why? Maybe because they play against some of the worst defenses? Thurs. night that record breaking offense will be going up against a SEC defense. The SEC owns at the big D. Florida has already faced the top 3 line backers.. lol... sound farmiliar? Our players don't need that trash talk. Super Man just laughs it off. Cause he knows he will dawn his cape. Urban Meyer and his coaches are deadly when given alot of time to prepare. GO GATORS

I remember you posting that. Remarkable that I remember ANYTHING that YOU post. Of course, you being the idiot that you are you fail to realize that there's ALWAYS NEXT SEASON at which time you will no doubt again be touting Boise State as the next national champion even though the toughest team they'll probably be playing next season is Idaho, or some other such team.

At least when I (deservedly) slam you and your online homosexual lover, "young guns," it's about something that is actually related to something you've posted at some point. I don't know HOW MANY times I've posted that I'm NOT an Ohio State football fan, and yet you and your fellow peabrain keep going on about how much I love Ohio State football (or at least you keep alluding to it as with the comment I bolded, above). At least I know to keep my arguments honest, something which is obviously beyond the likes of you and your homosexual fantasy target, "young guns." Sucks to be you two, apparently.

"middlefingerluv" doesn't know the first thing about anything. At least I think he realizes that, though, unlike the fellow peabrains and homosexual online lovers, "titsrock," and "young guns."
