Coronavirus

Is "the second wave" already here in the US?

"Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota and West Virginia all set records Friday in the number of new cases of the virus, NBC News' tally shows."

From North Dakota (they need a hot governor like their southern neighbor):
“If they kick me out [of a hardware store], I'll go somewhere else,” [said the 69-year old trucking company owner] calling masks about as effective at blocking the virus as “stopping sand with chicken wire. I just don’t take B.S. from people, I rely on my own common sense.”

I'm not knocking trucking company owners, but - to me - common sense would be listening to experts.

No improvement since Sunday in the US..:

"The total U.S. caseload reported on the site Friday was 83,757, topping the 77,362 cases reported on July 16."

This conniving idiot used to be my GM at a gym I worked at. Look how he gets busted as he's talking about social distancing. Ever have an ex-boss you are surprised that hasn't been clipped yet? Fuckin' World's Tallest Midget. He had this cringy catch phrase for selling memberships too. He'd say, almost begging while practically laying on the front desk, "If you kick it down I will dial it in." What kind of douchebag says that?

What the Hell does that even mean?

Some cornball crap he brought down from Frisco where he's originally from. If I went into a gym and some action figure sized Guido used that line on me I'd turn my back and take a walk on him. I think it's "You do for me, I do for you." He could use a mop bucket as a lap pool. His little hands look like piglet hoofs.

Just a few hours ago, it was reported that Rocco Siffredi and his wife Rosa Caracciolo and their two sons along with two of Rocco's employees have all tested positive for Covid-19.

Let's hope they all get better and recover.

Another week, and more records being set in the US - and not in a good way:

"More than 92,000 coronavirus infections were reported across the United States on Friday, setting the single-day record for cases as the nation’s outbreak spiraled further out of control."

Yikes. Here come the state-wide curfews..:

"The new stay-at-home advisory instructs residents to stay home between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., but activities such as going to work, critical errands such as getting groceries and addressing Premium Link Upgrade needs, and taking a walk are allowed. Last week, officials in El Paso, Texas, issued a Premium Link Upgrade after cases rose 160% .."

"America's worst flu season in recent years was in 2017-2018 when more than 61,000 people died, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."

907 is the average Covid-19 deaths per day since first case in U.S.
Current deaths are about 238,000, by the end of the year it will be over 280,000.

This long-term coronavirus symptom is so crazy, we can’t believe it’s real

"A new study finds that coronavirus patients who had severe symptoms can experience a decline in brain functions months after recovery.
Some common cognitive issues include memory loss, brain fog, and an inability to concentrate for sustained periods of time.
Researchers say that the cognitive decline is equivalent to the brain aging 10 years."
