We had our well regulated militia stocked up and ready to go, just waiting for the moment when the Government would turn on its own people. And then the government started shooting protesters and rolling tanks down the street, and we were like ‘guys this is the one we’ve been talking about, let’s go!’. But then something else came up and we forgot to do it. Damnit!”.
Observers were shocked that the NRA had missed their opportunity to defend their country. “I can’t believe it,” one analyst said. “It’s almost as if they weren’t worried about the government at all. It’s as if they were actually just scared of black people”.

I was disappointed. As a middle aged white male, I feel as though I'm the enemy. That is my feeling and mine to deal with. However, I think, outside of not saying "All Lives Matter", which apparently is taken as disrespectful, I'm not sure what to do. I respect that and don't say it.
I can't get behind ******* people, burning building, hurting folks....sorry.
So, I saw the article and I skimmed it. It is kind of vague and all over the map.
What I'll continue to do is to respect people and not discriminate against them. Where I see inequality, I'll speak up. ...but that has little to do with whatever it is the movement is trying to say as far as I can tell. They may just not be speaking to me. In which case, I'll mind my own business unless they...you know burn down building, harm people, etc...

It would be a problem if they were riots and terrorism. But, as Lardass Nadler assured everyone, it's a MYTH that there are any War Zone-like problems going on in any cities. So everything's cool.
We were wrong. Community Services, Recreation Centers and Community Public Safety Patrols HAVE worked. Chicago is now THE Safe City Role Model.
