Music is a panoply sounds, no matter what produces it, it remains a sound...

Oh and BTW, rap is not that bad if you don't count the shit they make you play on the radio and calls it rap.

Lil' Wayne is the main guy in the hip-hop scene I believe, but he's NOTHING compared to the main guy (in my book), KRS-One.

I listen to all sorts of music and I know what I'm talking about, if you wanna have a discussion on Black Metal, Reggae or on classic Rock n' Roll I'm your man.

It's called a musical instrument for a reason. It must be used in order to be considered music. Is having a computer make sounds that form words singing? No. So why should having a computer make sounds be music?

Wow, you really need to take a good listen to their music dude. In fact, many good bands from the late 60's-mid 70's had keyboards/synthesizers as a driving sound. Genesis, Yes, E.L.P., Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Alan Parsons...I can go on if you like, but the point is, it's not the instrument, it's the musician that's playing it, and how they use it. To many keyboardists, now a days, play with one hand, and wave with the other, then use a foot switch, to trigger a sequencer.

I do listen to Floyd, and I have already acknowledged that they use a synthesizer. However, it is/was not the main source of their music. It is overwhelming (IMO) in some songs, which I don't care for that much.

As for you, revidffum, I understand your position on the "playing the instrument" thing, but frankly, no matter if we agree or not, musics come from the center of the mind of humans. Those who are being able to play this music, is musicians.

So, if I have find a way to make this music come out of my soul and putting in big ass speakers, I'll do it the best I can.

The problem with rap is that you have to find rappers on the Internet to discover them... there are so many of 'em... sometimes you discover some serious rapper who meant the shit they said and are still true to hip hop.

Another problem might be, that if you discover this guy, maybe his next album will be pure shit.


Look for MF Doom & Madlib on youtube, I'm pretty sure you'll like it...

Only an elitist would outright determine what the "worst genre of music" is. This thread title should be changed to something like "your least favorite genre of music" because no one can solely determine what the worst genre of music is since 1) people have different musical preferences and no one should bash anyone for their musical tastes (unless they listen to Soulja Boy) and 2) there are many different aspects to base genre quality off of such as the amount of people who listen to it, the amount of money it makes, or its which is obviously based off of opinion.

And anyone who honestly thinks "hip-hop/rap" is the worst genre should go shove it because they obviously don't know anything about the genre if they include the "/rap" part of it.
