Country by far discusts me the most, it is pointless and all sounds exactly the same. It is impossible to tell one singer from the other, and the music is the same boring guitar riff, beat, and bass line. Being from Kentucky it is even worse because that is all anyone here listens to, and is shocked when they find I dont like it. I get very sick of the question "You don't like country, well what the hell do you like?" As if it is the only kind of music that exists. I challange any hardcore country music fan to pick up an instrument and see how easy and boring that it is to play, which is why most real musicians choose not to listen to or play that crap. Country bands are just no talent losers who couldnt make it in a rock band. Being a musician myself I couldnt imagine having to play that crap night in and night out. (end rant)
Whats funnier is when fans of "New Country" say well new country is more southern rock that country. Saying that is spitting in the face of real southern rock bands. This new country shit doesnt even compare to southern rock, as much as it wants to.

The only "music" in rap, is usually a repetitive sound bite, "sampled" from someone that actually took the time to sit down and write a song. Or a computer generated beat, that is played by pressing a button on a sequencer. While I'm not a big fan of country music, at least there is some pool of song writing talent...at least polka's require some musicianship. I know people that play accordions, it's not easy, they're a vile sounding instrument, especially when combined with a clarinet...but at least it's not plagiarized riffs, and rhythms, slapped together with some chuckle head talking over it. You're right, hip hop ISN'T music!

Oh and BTW, rap is not that bad if you don't count the shit they make you play on the radio and calls it rap.
Lil' Wayne is the main guy in the hip-hop scene I believe, but he's NOTHING compared to the main guy (in my book), KRS-One.
I listen to all sorts of music and I know what I'm talking about, if you wanna have a discussion on Black Metal, Reggae or on classic Rock n' Roll I'm your man.
Oh yeah, Pink Floyd used a synthetizer, be careful where you venture with this.
