nice vette mcrocket:thumbsup:. I am sure you have heard of the new c6 z06 with the 427 ci 500hp engine, it is a better bang for the buck than the viper.

just love the mad max style falcons too

Thanks Georges. Coming from you that's a real compliment. I know you know your cars. Now I have a Chevrolet Cavalier...Yikes!!! A 4 door no less. But not for long, hopefully.

Yep...I like the new Vettes. I loved the c4. I didn't really like the c5..it had a fat butt. But I think the c6 is a big improvement. ANd 500 horsepower right from the factory! And WAY cheaper then a Viper.
I just like the looks of the Viper so much.
But add in cost and you are right - no contest. I think that the Z06 C6 'vette is the best new American car - when it comes out.

Very nice car man. Just my type in the old days. I would paint it black though - I paint every car black I own, that is sporty. :)
But I like that colour. Looks good, but different.

I used to have a 1970 340 Challenger that I had painted a colour called 1980 Corvette Yellow. Sounds goofy, but I thought it looked great. Really turned heads.

good choice. They were a reduced version of the ford torino fastback gt. Mainly powered by a 351 cleveland 4 barrel with semi hemi heads they were fast cars and equal in performance to the torino gt 429 cobra and super cobra jet fastbacks. The one that madmax had, had a blower and made over 600hp.

The viper became not so brute as before and personnally I am not a big fan of the new design. But it offers more than a ferrari for its cost. About the vette it was always a reference when it comes to sportscars. My favorite vettes are the c1 with the 283-327ci with 2-4 barrel carbs and fuel injection engines, the c2, the c3 (only years 68-70 were you could order the most horsepowerful engines when choosing 427-454ci engines), the c4 especially with the zr1, lt1 and the collector eddition, the c5 with the Z06 and the C6 with z06 edition.

The cavalier is a good daily driver. Personnally today cars are full of electronics, not so robust as before, unoriginal and hard to fix. I would rather go for a 1961-1964 bel air or impala super sport bubble top 409 coupe or a 1970 chevelle ss 454 ls6 than buying something new and not original. About the new charger it is a piece of crap, if you are into mopars 68-70 are the best years.

The best yellow available on mopars was sublime. And you could turn your 340 into a 340-6 pak with the manifold available as spare part at mopar performance and edelbrock so you would have the same engine than the challenger t/a or if you are into big block a crate 440ci or a 426ci hemi would do the thing.

yea, they sorta look like a torino, but were made pretty much in aus.the xa,xb and xc falcons had a few engine choises,250 straight 6,302 cleveland or the 351 cleveland.the gt versions had 4v heads while the standard ones had the 2v.the car that mad max had looked blown but in actual fact the one they used in the movie wasnt.the supercharger was sitting on a steel frame and had an electric motor inside it.thats how he was able to turn it on and off in the movie.but it looked wicked.

I actually owned a ZR-1. A 1990 or 91 (I am somewhat embarrassed that I cannot remember which year); the first year for it and with 'only' 375 horsepower. I bought it used in '95. It was an interesting car. But I only kept it for a year. Every time I started it it would make a tap-tap-tap-tap noise; like it was out of oil. It would go away in 20 seconds or so. But I suspect the LT5 (the special Lotus built motor for the car) had an oil circulation problem. And when I read that GM had no spare parts left for the motor- well, that was it for me and I sold it.
IT was a highway car all the way. It was a high RPM motor (having 4 valves per cylinder), so it kind of lugged, lugged it around town. But on the highway it was incredibly smooth. And the faster the better.
Funny thing about it was that the rear tires were 315's. i.e. REALLY wide. And they were stock. And I could not go through car washes (yes, I am lazy) because the rear tires would not fit in the grooves in the carwash. Funny.

Anyway, sorry to go on. I just love cars. Especially rear wheel drive V8 (or alternatively V10) engined ones.

Nice cars...but I do not think there is any such thing as a 2005 Chevrolet Camaro. Didn't they stop making them in '04 or '03? It's probably a typo on your part.

If I do get another nice car...as I said before. It will hopefully, for various reasons, be a truck. Specifically a Dodge Ram SRT-10 (a Dodge Ram with a Dodge Viper 500 horsepower motor in it).

Here's a pic of the optional very short wheelbase version...
