I'm doing a pretty old-school set of dishes for Christmas dinner, but I always like to have a few things out of the ordinary. What are you folks serving for Christmas/Hanukkah/Holiday/I-don't-give-a-fuck-what-you-call-it dinner? Here's what my menu is looking like:
roast beef and yorkshire pudding, as an hors d'oeuvre
chanterelle and squash soup
foie gras - I'm making it myself. I have a live goose at home right now.
roast goose and chestnut stuffing
pan seared brussel sprouts with chestnuts and bacon
figgy pudding
4 cheese souffle
Trifle served with espresso
Now, Andronicus will say this post makes me gay. However, this meal will assist in getting me laid, so fuck you (in advance).
