What is the latest good film you watched ?

Fight Club

Im going to watch Blow Out later, Ive already seen it before, so I know how good it is. Probably the best De Palmer film, yes, even better than Scarface.

Gojira

The original Japanese version is STILL the best Godzilla movie to date. And with Cloverfield being something of a success at the box office, I certainly wouldnt mind seeing the big G having another go at Hollywood. Just get someone with the right approach, which wasnt the case in 1998, and it may be off to a good start. Even a period piece might work in my estimation.

I'm actually thinking about doing a Godzilla marathon pretty soon and I'm probably going to throw in Zilla (that's what I call the movie now since that's what ToHo calls him). I thought it was a good film it just wasn't Godzilla. I just have to try and pick up King Kong vs. Godzilla and I'll start my marathon.

Try and see if you can get the two-pack with both King Kong vs Godzilla, and King Kong Escapes. The Kong suit in Escapes looks better than the one in vs Godzilla, and if you can sit thru that. Watching King Kong Escapes shouldnt be a problem. ;)

Zilla '98 isnt really a bad movie. But yeah, it clearly wasnt Godzilla. I'm convinced if it would have been called anything else, it probably would have been better recieved. Hell, they could have promoted it as a remake of "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms" and it would have done better.
