What is the latest good film you watched ?

All that I want from DC is for them to stop making abortions of Allan Moore's work. Since he's fucked out of the rights anyway, let's just stop making them all together. they simply cannot make a better movie than V for vendetta, and even that was a shame to him.

also shame on zack snieder. 300 was great, and maybe he really believes that he's doing it for the love of comics, but it's still kind of exploitation.

I also love Frank Miller and if anyone is qualified to do a comics film it is him, but it looks like he's turning The Spirit into Sin City 1/2. What would Will Eisner think? we will never know, and that is the point, and it's wrong, IMO, just to assume.

It's the same thing that they did to him with Daredevil, as far as I'm concerned.

From poster art, it looks like that. But it's actually going to be a PG with hardly any violence. He said in an interview he want's it to be for kids too, not just adults... Great

When I first saw The Spirit trailer I honestly thought it was Sin City 2.:1orglaugh By the time it was over and I saw the words "Will Eisner's The Spirit" my exact reaction was "Wait a minute, The Spirit doesn't look like that!" It does look cool though and it may end up being good. A large part of the reason that Alan Moore isn't receiving royalties for his work is because he will not accept them. After his disgust with LXG and From Hell, he asked Warner Brothers not to include him in anyway shape or form in any future adaptations of his work. This included Constantine and V For Vendetta and will include Watchmen. Out of this list the only one I didn't like was LXG. The others I thought were pretty good, were they perfect adaptations, no. That's Alan Moore's main gripe, the fact that the films are not perfect adaptations. Personally I don't think any comic film has a perfect adaptation (except Sin City maybe) but the best ones are the ones that didn't stray too far from the source material. I have a feeling that Watchmen is in very good hands.

How about a Constantine I that didnt suck ass?? That movie was terrible, would be nice with a "real" Constantine movie that actually followed the amazing comics.
I wouldn't mind if they completely ignored the first one and just made a new one.

It's good to be the king...
The Bourne Ultimatum

Never really got into the other "Bourne" movies, but it all clicked together in "Ultimatum" (just watched it).

I meant about the published materials, not the movies. The main reason he's pissed off isn't that he doesn't want to see movies made, but that DC didn't give him creative control over what was done with his projects and often took direction without even consulting him or asking him for input, so he doesn't want to have anything to do with anything that DC produces.

On the opposite spectrum, Miller was directly involved with both Sin City and 300 movies, which was what made them so true to the comics and to his vision.

I watched The Matrix last night and I had forgot how good it was :pimpdaddy

I just watched that movie too. what a coincidence.

Special Operations FOX-HOUND
The Back To The Future Trilogy.

Just got back from watching Hancock. It was an okay film, but came out of it unsatisfied. :( - Practically no backstory, a weak pasted-on arch-villian, very few laughs...

The Back To The Future Trilogy.

First two were superb, third one was so-so.

I have to agree with this. Overall I liked it but by the end of the movie I felt I just watched two different films. It started off as an action-comedy and somewhere along the way it turned into an action-romance film. I just felt it didn't really live up to the hype but it's Will Smith I guess and everybody seems to like Will Smith.:dunno:
