You look up, and see a face which looks better than the ass. (I mean, in general)
Then you look down, and see thick legs, so you look up again.
You see the neck and the hair covering at least most of it.
You notice the arms bent somewhat due to the body,

I'd say shape; nothing too flabby or nothing so tight it's flat. It is really a lot of opinion though, but in some cases everyone wants that ass :D
 
Well I like two types of asses:

Large: examples would be Simone Peach, Brianna Love, Katja Kassin, Alexis Texas, Sandra Romain. The prototypical bubble butt.

Athletic: Angel Dark, Simony Diamond, Kayla Synz.

I seem to like shorter women with larger bubble butts, but also like the taller ladies with a more slender asses.
