Because being a lying, immature, manipulative little bitch is not against the law (although maybe it should be). Again... no EVIDENCE. To paraphrase Tom Cruise in "A Few Good Men" --- It's not about what we BELIEVE, it's about what we can PROVE. No evidence = acquittal. You're saying that there was a miscarriage of justice here. I submit to you that convicting a 25-year-old woman with a kind of lynch-mob retribution (which was whipped into a frenzy by the Nancy Graces of the world) on ZERO hard physical evidence would've been the TRUE miscarriage of justice here -- no matter how distasteful her actions were doing those 31 days. Maybe Casey was in denial, we don't have insight into her mind. Who knows how people will react to extreme emotional trauma. Maybe she was in denial.
For once, the justice system worked. Also remember that she has already lost 3 years of her life in prison, piled up legal bills that she can never hope to repay in her lifetime, and her reputation has been forever ruined by people who forgot the basic right: "innocent until PROVEN guilty."

Vivid over the years has gone from a professionally run organization (at least relative to the industry they are in) to something that shamelessly and pathetically tries to get publicity for their sorry company to stave off going even farther downhill.

This, even if it was rescinded, goes way beyond even shameless and pathetic. It's downright reprehensible, and how anybody there could think this was in any way a smart or good thing to do boggles the mind even taking into account there previous actions. I don't know how even they could be that stupid or lack so much dignity.

In all my defense of the acquittal, etc., I have neglected to address what this tread is about. I agree pretty much with D-rock: Vivid was indeed shameless and opportunistic to make a porno offer to Casey Anthony -- although I'm certain it would be a big-seller anyways -- like a freakshow. Remember John Waybe Bobbitt? :facepalm:
