Yeah, my feeling exactly - since when are walk-ons by name wrestlers so exciting?
It was exciting when Ric Flair came to WWE because the first thing he did was to announce that he was a co-owner of the company - so there was a whole storyline that he was plunged into.
Where's the storyline with him walking on screen in a suit?
Where's the storyline with Jeff Hardy walking in after a match is over and climbing a structure that nobody was able to climb from the inside where the match was supposed to have been fought? Well, for people who read the news, it's a mystery what TNA is going to do with a star that is fighting all of the **** charges that Hardy is fighting - and what they're going to do with a star that failed so many **** tests at WWE - doesn't seem good.
I thought the first match had potential but turned into the usual TNA botch-job. Whenever I see TNA try to do a complicated match, I marvel at the skill of Kevin Dunn and his crew that make televising complicated matches look so easy.
Oh, and now they're doing the strip poker angle that ECW did - what? 3 years ago? Yawn - only 18 minutes till RAW - not much chance that I'm going to stick around to watch TNA - especially when they already announced that there will be a re-broadcast on Thursday - not exactly the best way to keep me on this channel now.
Oh, well. I know I'm being pretty negative about them. I really wish they would do better with the opportunity that they had put so much energy into building for themselves. They have a lot of talent that I sincerely respect - AJ, Daniels, Samoa Joe especially. Those 3 guys are as good as it gets in the modern era of wrestling.
