Breaking News: Major Knockout Leaving TNA Wrestling
by Matt Boone
Apr 28, 2010

The following is an excerpt from a new blog from the official MySpace page of TNA Knockout Tara:

"I came to TNA last year because I still had a lot of wrestling left in me. I was paid a fraction of what I thought I deserved. But I wanted to show I was still at the top of my game. Now my contract is up in May. I want a modest pay increase. They don't want to pay me what I think is fair. I have no problems going my own way.

But about 12 hours after the conversation where we didn't agree on pay, unnamed sources claim that I am hard to work with and that I don't give my best effort. My only response is that TNA made an aggressive effort to re-sign me, among other things saying that they want to build the women's division around me. And I think wrestling fans see, both on TV and at live events, that I alwys give 100%. I take pride in that. Smeaering me on the way out the door is an act of second-rate character."

But is the spider staying? :1orglaugh:rofl:

Bubba The Love Sponge Fired From TNA

this guy is a clown, how does he get a job in wrestling in the 1st place? (other than being hogans buddy?) i am embarassed of this guy.
he should shut his mouth, his wrstling career stunk and his radio show is even worse!

Did Bubba The Love Sponge have a wrestling career? Good riddance to bad rubbish.

TNA needs to continue to focus on putting together a good wrestling show - as they have been the past couple of weeks more successfully than in previous weeks.

I say toss the side-show elements like Bubba as much as possible.

Why would she wan to go to TNA when she can't wrestle. She left WWE because of a back problem which meant she couldn't bump, so what would she be doing in TNA when she could probably go back to WWE.

Most likely Hogan speaking crap.

Thank fucking God TNA fired Bubba. About time!

As for Torrie, lame move by Hogan to mention her. It's pretty obvious she wants nothing to do w/ wrestling anymore.

i highly doubt he will go there. dont they already have vince russo writing.
heyman is a genius but i dont think he wants to save TNA

tna has messed up getting hogan... I think it is killing itself tring to compete with wwe..

Other than trying to recreate WCW I think competing with WWE was a big mistake. I think the minute they got Hulk Hogan their eyes got real wide and they lost oxygen to their brains. I'm not saying they should never compete but at the moment they were no where near ready.

Awesome Kong Talks Interest In WWE, Leaving TNA, & More
by Chris Cash
May 04, 2010

Monday Night Mayhem radio with Awesome Kong
Hosts: Big Mosh, Blade, Todd Vincent
Recap by Paterson from New Jersey
Available at MondayNightMayhem.com.

How the transition has been for Kong since leaving TNA several months ago: "The transition has been great. I've been taking better care of my body and easing up on the wrestling and my schedule a bit, and I have the opportunity to pick and choose when and where I work, so that has been fabulous. I'm also going back to basics, and going back to Japan this week, and just reinventing and bringing back a more aggressive Kong."

How she believes TNA as a company/as a whole changed from her debut in the fall of '07 to her departure in the month of March and if she can now envision herself returning to TNA after the chain of events over the past week: "Well, there were some differences towards the end. They have offered to leave the door open should I want to come back, and that is something I'm also open to. Just right now, I came to this before all the changes happened. People think that because I left right when the changes happened, that I left because of the changes, and that's not really so.

"This was gradually coming on, and I my body needed a break, and I just needed to regroup and figure out exactly how I wanted my character to go and the direction I wanted it to go. It's (TNA) definitely a different product in the little that I have watched. The X-Division isn't has prominent as it used to be, and that was one of the reasons I came to TNA. When I was Japan, the X-Division DVD's were like crack on streets. That has changed a bit. So I'd like to see that come back full force. They're trying new things, and I wish them well, and hopefully the things they are trying works out for them."

How the Knockouts division changed/altered over the course of the past three years during her time in TNA: "When I first came to TNA, there was an ambiance that everyone was a team. Backstage, everyone supported one another, we were all together as one, and we worked together as one to grow as a company. Everyone was putting in back-breaking work and putting in their all, because we were depending on one another to make something big happen. I think when things started to get bigger, I guess people got comfortable. I won't say cocky, but maybe a little comfortable, and the fire wasn't there anymore. People just got comfortable where they were or discouraged and stagnant."

Playing the role of "mediator" amongst the TNA Knockouts, the rumors of the current TNA Knockouts locker room environment, and her thoughts on Tara's forthcoming TNA departure: "I've heard idle reports about the locker room musings. When I was there, things like that didn't go on. Not to say people didn't have disagreements, but when I was there/if something came up, I would usually step in and be a mediator for whatever was going on, because we would like to keep a harmonious vibe in the locker room.

"It's very important to come to a happy workplace, so when I was there, I did my best to make sure everyone was emotionally safe and physically safe in the ring. When I worked with Tara, I found her to be very professional, and if she had a opinion that varied from someone else, I found her to voice that opinion in a professional manner. These reports that I'm hearing, they may be true, and I've heard things have changed since I left. The air there has changed; it's a different air from when I first arrived that."

The WWE's interest right now in her, what she can bring to the table if hired by World Wrestling Entertainment, and the likelihood/chances of herself, Gail Kim and Tara (as Victoria) together again as part of WWE's Divas division: As far as Tara, Gail, and I working together in the future, I believe Tara would have a great chance of going back to the WWE. She started there, and I believe they would take her back. As for myself, their product is a bit different, and I don't fit the 'diva model' per say. I do believe that if I was there, I would back them a lot of money. They have some of the most creative minds in professional wrestling, and I believe if they choose to pick me up, that everyone would make money all around."

Her message to her fans around the world and her reaction to the tremendous support she has received throughout the past week: "I lace my boots up for my fans. The years I spent in Japan put a lot of damage on my body, and there are things I want to do outside of wrestling. I would like to become a mother someday, and that's a whole adventure on its own. The fans are what keep me going, who want to see more, and they keep my name out there. I get Facebook messages everyday, I get Twitter messages every day, people sending me e-mails on my website all the time wishing that I was back in ROH, or WWE, or TNA.

"I lace my boots every time for the fans...that's why I'm still in the game. I do have outside interests, as I just established a non-profit foundation, and there's many I want to accomplish before this life is over, because I plan on living my life till the wheels fall off, and wrestling is a big part of it. I've put a lot of time into it, and the fans have put a lot of time into me, and I would never want to abandon them. So I'm taking this time to figure out exactly how I would pursue furthering my career in wrestling."

In Kong's most revealing interview of her career, she also goes in-depth with The Big Mosh and "The Chairman of the Board" on her candid and uncensored thoughts on the potential "dream match" between herself and the current WWE Women's Champion "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix (and just how close we are to having that become a reality), having the opportunity to meet with Jim Ross and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin at the Cauliflower Alley Club recently (and the influence both have had on her career), how Gail Kim's TNA departure affected the locker room and the Knockouts division especially, what she has in store for the Ring of Honor fans this Saturday night at The Manhattan Center in New York City (as part of "Supercard of Honor V"), the concept behind her teaming up with Raisha Saeed in TNA, whether being a face or heel was more satisfying for her career, and so much more. You've heard the dirt throughout the past week and enough "Bubba" references to last a lifetime...now it's time to hear Kong's comments on her past, her present, and her future exclusively on Monday Night Mayhem's "Sweeps Month." Follow the path of Kong via her official Twitter account (located at http://www.Twitter.com/AwesomeKong), plus you can also meet the former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion (along with Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Tommy Dreamer, and many of your favorite superstars) Saturday, May 22nd at the Big Time Wrestling WrestleFest 2010 at The Marriott in Fremont, CA. Report: Tara's Backstage TNA Heat, Returning to WWE?
by Nick Paglino
May 06, 2010

PWTorch.com is reporting that TNA Knockout Tara, real name Lisa Marie Varon, has backstage heat with The Beautiful People which is the root of recent reports that she is "difficult to work with." Apparently, Varon has issues with the fact that the BP will not take certain offensive moves of hers during matches and that she is not a fan of their in-ring ability.

It's being reported that Varon has aired these complaints to TNA management several times, and even requested to work with ODB on a recent house show tour as opposed to the BP. This was seen as a sign of disrespect by the BP, as backstage protocol is usually to go to talent with any issues you might have rather than going to management behind the talent's backs.

It should be noted that Varon was reportedly very easy to work with in WWE and apparently had none of the issues in that company which she now has in TNA. Varon has apparently been telling people close to her that she wants to return to WWE when her current TNA deal expires.

TNA's Madison Rayne Clears The Air On Internet Rumors
by Chris Cash
May 07, 2010

The following was posted on Madison Rayne's official myspace page addressing some internet rumors:

"First of all, the reports about me "missing appearances" lately due to financial trouble are false. When Daffney and Angelina were both injured a few weeks ago, other girls needed to be put on the house shows that weekend. The reason I was not sent had nothing to do w/ money. I had been nursing a nagging injury of my own and everyone felt it would be in my best interst to take the 10 days I had off and let my body heal. Plain and simple :) Nothing more to it. So please don't fret... Mama Rayne is going to have a fantastic Mother's Day and I'm still getting a pedicure and new pair of shoes tomorrow morning LoL!

aaand denn, those silly rumors about there being heat in the locker room... all i'm going to say to that is, i've been a cheerleader, i've done beauty pageants and fitness modeling... and if y'all want drama, check out one of those backstage areas LoL.

The internet loooves stirring the pot and making huge issues out of nothing. I give you guys my word, that both personally and professionally I am very, very happy. Things are going well, I love my Vel Vel and Lace Face, and I am extremely blessed to have the family, friends, fans and job that I have. Now if only I could get to a Cubbies game at Wrigley this season :p"
