Total Nonstop Action wrestling thread

Amen. That's the first thing I said, when i read that yesterday. And, they are so similar in that they have ZERO talent, are famous for being famous, and are universally hated.

Fuck this!

Right again...what is it about bringing actors in anyway...it's always boring and contrived as ****.

Ij ust caught Daffney for the first time on TNA tonite and it looks to me as if shes lost a LOT of weight!!!

She looked fucking amazing on TV last night... if it wasn't for the presence of Abyss and Dr. Stevie in the room, the night would have been perfect.:glugglug:

*sigh* But, I will say this he and Savge had a decently entertaining match in WCW yrs ago. That does not mean he should get back in the ring, now or ever!

No, no, no! Not again with Rodman! He could hold his own with Savage years ago, but he obviously just wants to get out of his surreal life existence and back into the mainstream. Don't do it TNA! You're finally starting to do some really good things. Don't bring Rodman back and get rid of jenna Morasca.

I agree. TNA is hetting good ratings, bringing Rodman now would be a bad idea. And, jenna has no talent, but she is easy on the eyes.

Agreed. Jenna is nice to look at points for that...though I've never seen or met a Jenna that wasn't. Is it something with the name..?:dunno:

nash gives interveiw on joe and tna moving to monday nights

Nash says that Vince acknowledging TNA is good, but calling it reprehensible is hypocritical since Vince is the same person who produced a show featuring Mae Young giving birth to a rubber hand, among other things.

-- Nash says that when TNA picks up another million viewers and starts doing a 2.5 or a 2.7 rating, only then would it be time to switch to Monday nights. He says it’s a young company that has a lot of growth left to do.

Moving to Monday night?

I would hope not. Thursday night is fine. Unless they could put the hurt on the WWE, it would not be a good move.

TNA Epix On Spike TV.

TNA will be launching a secondary show on the Spike TV network soon entitled "Epix".

Thanks to the success of the weekly TNA iMPACT! television show, the company has managed to secure themselves a secondary show now.

That's right. There's going to be another our of TNA programming for wrestling fans to enjoy.

Before you assume that it's going to be a third hour of TNA iMPACT!, it's not.

TNA Epix is going to be a highlight show for the company. It's not just going to be a recap show, though, it's going to take footage from years past.

This week’s episode of TNA iMPACT did a 1.9 cable rating, up from last week’s 1.5. Both are rounded up to a 2.0, and both did about the same amount of viewers.

While WWE’s programming suffered viewership losses this week, TNA stayed steady and topped ECW on Sci-Fi -- that’s the good news. The bad news is in the quarter-hour ratings: TNA booked a PPV-caliber main event on free TV and it was the lowest-rated segment of the show. Here is the complete quarter-hour rating breakdown:

Q1: 1.07 (Main Event Mafia in the ring)
Q2: 1.20 (Suicide vs. Consequences Creed; Morgan/Foley backstage)
Q3: 1.27 (M.E.M. interview; Matt Morgan vs. M.E.M. security)
Q4: 1.23 (Foley backstage; **** Money vs. Young/Holiday)
Q5: 1.19 (Awesome Kong vs. Velvet Sky)
Q6: 1.22 (Dr. Stevie; Lethal/Creed/Daniels in-ring segment)
Q7: 1.19 (Main Event Mafia vs. Frontline 10-man tag)
Q8: 1.16 (10-man tag cont.; Sting’s announcement)

Matt Morgan squashing the Main Event Mafia’s security guards drew the highest rating of the evening. Also, Scott Steiner has been in the highest-rated quarter-hours of iMPACT for 4 of the 5 last weeks.

buff bagwell to tna ? and news on kurt angle

-- A quick correction on last week’s iMPACT rating: The number was a 1.19, not a 1.9.

-- Apparently earlier this year there was some talk within TNA about bringing in Marcus "Buff" Bagwell. Bagwell has stayed active on the indy scene, repairing his poor locker room reputation. He looks and moves pretty much the same as he did in WCW, but the feeling is that the company already has enough guys on the roster who need to get over without signing another expensive contract. Although nothing was ever officially pitched, ideas bounced around off the record included one with Abyss & Lauren, and another with Daniels.

-- In addition to Mick Foley, Kurt Angle will also be serving as a host for the new TNA Epics show. Right now the highlight show is only airing in the UK, but TNA is likely working on increasing distribution for the show. With Spike TV’s average primetime ratings on the decline, it’s possible that they may pick up the second TNA show. Epics will feature classic matches from TNA’s seven-year history, rather than being an iMPACT highlight show. The decision to have Angle and Foley host it was also done to prevent the show from having a ***** league feel.
