I've definitely heard plenty of people complaining that this season was boring, but I disagree.

As others have stated, it's more of a drama about the survivors, not a horror series.
Besides, if it was a horror, we'd just want everyone to get attacked & eaten in the most gruesome way possible right? Horror porn.
I prefer it this way, we're emotionally invested in the characters, so we care more about what happens to them. I still feel anxious & jumpy the entire time I watch it!
If anything I think these characters should be more on guard!

First off, the farm house situation seems like pure ego!
It's nice that you want to be able to open a window & feel the cool country breeze, but you live in post-apocolyptic zombie world! Board up your goddamn windows!
Create a method of separating the second story of the house to retreat to if need be, fire at the zombies from the roof, etc.

Also, I pretty much hate Andrea, Carl & Lori.. I don't mind any of them getting killed off. :X
Lori pisses me off for in one breath telling her husband how volatile & dangerous she thinks Shane is, then the next she goes & thanks him & emotionally confides in him? Smart move with the psycho who wants to raise your offspring.

Then we can get into the fact that not one, but two adults told Carl that *SPOILER* Dale's death wasn't his fault. Uhm. I get not wanting the kid to torture himself with guilt, but shouldn't he be allowed to feel a bit guilty? I mean it WAS indeed, his fault. Then to top it off, they both give him back the gun? The STOLEN gun, that surely Darrell is going to notice is missing..

I so agree. Lori is (or was, rather) playing games between her husband and Shane that I think were very manipulative. Carl is being treated with kidgloves, and while I can understand a little lenience during an apocalypse, but he still needs to realize his actions have consequences in order to keep him from getting himself or others killed.

I have to say, Shane may have been batshit crazy but I miss his face. And lkajglsjd;agj;gkj!!! FINALE! Can't wait.

OOoooooh!!! I likey!! Now, any of you guys who read the comic, what's up with the prison?

If they follow the comic, it is their next home.
I was extremely pleased to see Mocchina make a very brief but memorable appearance at the end of the show. That moment literally had me jumping out of my seat. She is a great character in the comic.

I didn't read the comic, but I heard and read that Michonne is a favorite character among fans, so I can easily imagine the fans of the comics jumping out of their seats and cheering when they saw her. I almost did and I didn't even know who she was. I got even more excited about her entrance after reading about her character. I love that she keeps the two zombies shackled, apparently as a way of deterring other walkers. I read they were her boyfriend and his brother. She cut off their arms and lower jaw so they can't attack her. She is obviously great with a katana sword. A hell of a breath of fresh air considering all the guns and occasional crossbow we tend to see.
Here's some info on her character

Actually, I don't disagree at all. I had just come off off watching shows like Dexter and Breaking Bad and I was poised for some action. This show just simply doesn't deliver it on the same scale.; the overall pace has been much slower.

Oh come on!
Breaking bad is one of my favorite shows but you can't say ity doesn't get damn fucking slow as the story progresses. The story has it's ups and downs sometimes I watch an episode and I say "jezuz when the hell is something going to happen!?" Then they come out with an episode that I leaves me drooling for the next Sunday it's on. It's how they write now I suppose. It does piss me off that the writers set highs and lows in the storry and it's not some great big adrenaline ride. However I wonder if they know better than we know what will be more captivating. They got me.

So...
Amazing finale. Anyone almost sick with anticipation for the next show....gotta wait until fall.

I guess we'll all have to satisfy our appetites with another show...Game of Thrones anyone?

I'm happy Rick basically told them all in the end to STF, it's my way or the highway. 'bout time! It ain't no democracy and it's pretty obvious to all that Rick has all of thier welfares at heart. They should stop being snotty shut the hell up and start acting accordingly.

Actually, what I genuinely hate about American TV is the constant pushing of action sequences over good story telling and character development. Too many of our shows revolve around one dimensional cartoon characters... and that's why I watch so little TV these days. But I've come to like this show. I feel like it has a pretty good balance of action and story telling, and most of the character development has been fairly decent.

Now, I'm going to go look for a site where I can order one of those 100 round pump shotguns like Hershel had. If I agree to buy a 50 round six-shooter, like they had in the westerns when I was a kid, maybe I can even get a discount. :nanner:

I was actually laughing at that part and the family was like "why are you laughing" I was like "that old bastard hasn't reloaded once," LOL!!! He was just shooting them as if he put some sort of cheat code for unlimited ammo. It has been awhile since I watched it, usually a friend will call me and say watch this episode, but most of the time I don't. Since it was the finale, I checked it out and was disappointed again. In the end I'm just use to zach synder's dawn of the dead, or 28 days, or the left 4 dead game series. I'm just use to seeing a horde of infected or the dead running straight for you. This walking bullshit is so lame and boring.

I`m so glad they finally had Michonne come along. she`s one of the most badass characters in the entire show. she`s gonna bring some major whoopassery,

Haha, I thought that too. I was thinking he must have entered an infinite ammo code

I don't know why that bothers me so much. But even as a kid (after my dad taught me to shoot), seeing the cowboys pop off 20 rounds, without reloading their old Colt six-shooters, used to piss me off. The other thing that gets to me is when people rack a pump shotgun, click the hammer on a revolver or chamber a semi-auto multiple times. :wtf: I know it's done for dramatic effect. But imagine in a porn movie if the guy unsnapped the girl's bra five more times after he did it the first time.

Oh yeah, has anybody got a decent theory on why Lori was so pissed at Rick for killing Shane? I mean, you tell your wife that the guy, who had tried to rape her last season (Rick didn't know about it, but she did!) and who had murdered Otis, had to be taken out because he was trying to kill you... and she gets pissed at you???!!! I think she still had feelings for Shane... rapist and murderer or not. It's kind of testing the old suspension of disbelief to keep buying Rick (the soft hearted, naive chump) as a gen-U-ine southern, good-ol'-boy sheriff's deputy with a fancy Colt Python. They've tried to make him look the part, but they're failing at having the character act the part, IMO.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I saw him reloading twice maybe three times. When Rick came up behind him and shot the walker just about to get him from behind he was reloading.

FYI...I was counting or trying to count Black Zombies during this episode. For a rural area of Atlanta, there is a significant lack of Black zombies...but whatever..LOL i wasn't the one that originally brought it up.

6-8 rounds is about the max that you'd find in any sort of non-tactical pump shotgun. And ol' Hershel was firing away like he had a 50 round drum mag tucked under that baby. I saw him reload once near the end of the scene. If he reloaded before that, I must have missed it. Counting rounds between reloading is just some sort of odd/annoying personality quirk that I have... that I probably need to work on.

Years down the road, when I'm in a rest home (cause even if I have kids, they'd be smart enough not to take me in), can you imagine me throwing my mashed potatoes and pees at the TV in the group lounge because somebody got off 10 rounds from a six shot revolver? Yeah, wish me luck explaining that one to the "nursing home psychologist". Damn, that's depressing. I'm probably going to go out like Junior Soprano. Shit!

I forgot how Junior Soprano died, can you remind me?
Never understand why they ended that series the way they did, I thought they werte leaving it open for a movie ---- it just pissed off people. Fade to Balck WTF MAN!!!!

I'll watch the series finale of Walking Dead one more time Rey C buit I swear Hershel definately reloaded twice and maybe even more. I liked it that much ( the finale) ---- that I want to watch it again.
