>>>The Republican Party Is The Problem

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Where does it say the Anti Christ will come to power in the United States....we aren't even mentioned in the end. We will probably have been absorbed into one North American union, or done ourselves in, from with in.

The Far Left? Now, that's a mouthful. Better give, let's say, ten examples of articles or, better, videos from their past or current transmissions, that push for radical positions as in: Marx and Engels' Capital. Or Soviet points. Actual hardcore stuff.

I think he's correct. You can't expect people to just blindly trust anyone, under current circumstances, If you think about this, is basically the beginning of that Brad Pitt flick World War Z.
I just find the WHOLE ENCHILDIA, a bit rotten, and to many people know to many things. This might might cause an implosion on these fucking clowns, when the truth surfaces. They might runaway, before we get a chance to chase 'em!

@Mr. Daystar - do you still agree with the Congressman from your home state?

This isn't a Bill of Rights issue where American freedoms are being violated. It is a worldwide public health crisis first and foremost. Let's get rid of Covid-19 and all of the variants first. Stop the Pandemic. Then discuss our freedoms. That means wear the mask. Representative Warren Davidson was way out of line in his comparison here with the #DoNotComply Tweet.

Just like all of the misinformed GOP leaders in Congress. That's what's wrong with the Republican Party especially with the far right conservatives. They don't seem to realize that this Pandemic is a worldwide health crisis issue. They complain that our God given freedoms are going by the wayside if we get the Covid-19 vaccine, the booster and we fall in line by wearing a mask because of a mandate. Look at Florida and Texas and see how those Republican led states lead the nation in positive Covid results and hospitalizations. Eventually those states will be very high in Covid-19 fatalities if they aren't leading now.

Best to describe these GOP leaders in Congress and in these Republican led states as "lemmings falling off the cliff." Being led by the highly irascible and deceiving fascist # 45 with all of his propaganda and the telling of the Big Lie.

Okay, so the Nazi crap was out of line. But I still will not, and do not support mandatory vaccines for this. I was vaccinated as a kid, for all of the stuff they vaccinated you for, back then, but I do not trust these people, especially Fauci. and honestly ANY politician, I have no faith, trust, or respect for any of them, and the fact that they keep changing things around, adding boosters, discovering ne variants, just makes me wonder if something isn't going on. As far as wiping it out, how is that going to happen, when we have no idea, whose coming in this country, and when. Illegals come and go like walking through a revolving door.

I can truly understand your point about being vaccinated. A shot not given during childhood could lead to catastrophic results. I got all my vaccines when I was a child: smallpox, mumps, measles, rubella, etc. The only one I didn't get a shot for was chicken pox. I ended up with catching that virus. Not only red spots but black spots too. I scratched a few black spots and have a permanent divot in my face very close to my lower right ear and also on my neck on the left side. And because I had chicken pox, I'm now prone to shingles as an adult.

What catastrophic results can a vaccine shot cause during childhood?

OK. I wasn't sure if you were referring to the anti-vaxxers from 10~20 years ago trying to sell books full of disinformation about vaccines causing autism.

What? you don't want to go back to those thrilling days of yesteryear where 40% of babies didn't live to their first birthday? And another 15 or 20% didn't live till age 5? I have read and sadly don't remember where that some of the ancients often didn't even name children until they were about a year or so of age. That is of course why women has so many damn children. So maybe some might make it to adulthood to care for them in their old age of 40-50. And why women in particular were worn out by then. Cowards!

Elbridge Gerry rolls over in his grave as Ohio's Supreme Court rules:
https://www.politico.com/news/2022/01/14/ohio-congressional-map-struck-down-527116

"When the dealer stacks the deck in advance, the house usually wins. That perhaps explains how a party that generally musters no more than 55 percent of the statewide popular vote is positioned to reliably win anywhere from 75 percent to 80 percent of the seats in the Ohio congressional delegation. By any rational measure, that skewed result just does not add up."

It is encouraging to see a court uphold a doctrine of fairness in apportionment.

A Florida Republican who was defeated by 59 percentage points in a congressional special election won't concede

  • The Republican Jason Mariner hasn't conceded in Florida's 20th District special election House race.
  • Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, a progressive Democrat, beat Mariner in a 79%-20% landslide.
  • Mariner filed a lawsuit before the election was called, telling CBS Miami "stuff" was "discovered."

A Florida Republican who last Tuesday lost a congressional special election by a landslide in a heavily Democratic district has declined to concede the race, according to CBS Miami.

Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick — a Democrat who pledged to fight for $1,000 monthly checks for Americans and who backs progressive policies such as the Green New Deal and "Medicare for All" — easily defeated the Republican Jason Mariner in the race to succeed the Rep. Alcee Hastings, who died in April.

With all precincts reporting, Cherfilus-McCormick defeated Mariner 78.7% to 19.6% in Florida's 20th District — a 59.1-percentage-point victory. She received 43,663 votes to her opponent's 10,883 votes.
But in a move reminiscent of former President Donald Trump, who continues to dispute his election loss to President Joe Biden, Mariner has made claims of irregularities in the South Florida district.

"Now they called the race — I did not win, so they say, but that does not mean that they lost either, it does not mean that we lost," the Republican told CBS after the race was called.
Before the polls closed for the special election, Mariner filed a lawsuit alleging ballot issues in Broward and Palm Beach counties, the two populous Democratic-leaning jurisdictions that anchor the district.
"We'll also have some stuff coming out that we've recently discovered," Mariner told the TV station without elaborating.

Cherfilus-McCormick — who eked by Dale Holness by five votes in a multicandidate Democratic primary in November — brushed off Mariner's actions.
"Well, this wouldn't be my first time running against an opponent who is refusing to concede, so it's not our first time, and at the end of the day nothing can stop the motion," she told CBS.

Holness, a former Broward County commissioner, filed a lawsuit in November seeking to invalidate the Democratic primary results, alleging that Cherfilus-McCormick's advocacy for universal basic income was tantamount to bribing voters.

Election officials in Broward and Palm Beach counties told CBS the election results would be certified in 14 days — with challenges permitted for 10 days after that point.

While candidates who are unsuccessful in their races aren't legally bound to formally concede, Trump's continued refusal to acknowledge his 2020 loss despite a clear 306-232 Electoral College victory for Biden has morphed into a major point of contention for partisans, from the grassroots level to the halls of Congress.
