congrats to the gators, but we must all remember to give credit to OU. NOBODY gave them a chance to win this game, and hated on their D for an entire month (myself included). They brought it.

early in the 2nd quarter, you QB sneak on 3rd down, and do it again on 4th down. Running the ball between the tackles risks the D Line getting penetration (insert joke here) and getting a tackle for loss. bad call offensive coordinator.

the INT at the goal line, even if he caught the ball the it's at the half yard line, and no FG attempt is possible. Throw it in the end zone and have the WR drop it (incomplete and stop the clock) or throw it away (stop the clock) and get 3 points.

blocked FG. really? If the defensive line can get that much of a push, then it should be possible for the people blocking to get that amount of push back. no excuse, there never is on blocked FGs.

stupid penalties early.

all these things could have led to about 24 points!

the gators prevailed and fought it out.

congrats to both teams.

It sucks that OU's offense didnt show up. Their defense was pretty solid. Florida was unimpressive as well. USC would have destroyed these teams by 18.

Even though I don't like Florida (especially Tim Teb-oh-my-God-I'm-so-over-rated) and I don't care about Oklahoma, I'm finding this to be a very, very good game. I know a lot of people find low scoring games to be boring, but I'm a big fan of this game so far.
Jealous much?

So do you think the AP voters will vote them NC I starting to think they should
They would have regardless of the score. Oklahoma too.

Well it is too late to do anything now I agree they should have tried the field goal but that is not OU football They really met there match tonight.
They have met their match plenty of times over the last decade.

There's the Heisman Curse again. Both teams looked pretty flat. Harvin had a good game, and I give Tebow credit. He found a way to rally the players and keep the momentum. Damn I would've liked to have the Under in this!

I enjoyed the game too, Chef. Both teams played hard, the level of athleticism was excellent, and the better team won. I was actually really glad the scoreboard didn't resemble a pinball game.

USC would have destroyed these teams by 18.

USC against either would have been a great matchup. But as much as I respect the Trojans there's no way they're 18 points better than Oklahoma, and I seriously doubt whether they could beat Florida.

Final rankings for me:

Florida
USC
Oklahoma
Texas
Utah

I've been watching ESPN College Gameday Postgame and Lee Corso is on the right track. Where the hell was that Okie offense? Where was the 5WR set? Reverses...screen passes...you'd think that after Okie got punked by Boise State that they'd borrow the goddamn Statue of Liberty and run it on 4th DOWN:mad:

Percy Harvin was awesome. That Okie Defense played good enough for Okie to win. I have to blame Big Game Bob and his Offensive Coordinator for getting completely destroyed by Charlie Strong. He PWNED them. I am buying stock in Charlie Strong. He will be a head coach either in the Big11 or Pac10 in 2010.

It was a good game but I expected a brilliant game.

Pretty much sums up my take on this game too, t-rock. Oklahoma certainly played well enough to win on defense so I hope this is the end of the "Big 12 defenses suck" smack but the offense and Stoops were totally outdone by the Gators. Two golden opportunities in the red zone they pissed away.....one on an idiotic off-tackle call on 4th down and the other an ill-timed interception by Mr. Heisman Trophy. Why they didn't try to exploit the mismatch with Jermaine Gresham more than they did is beyond me. If the offense would have played up to the intensity and performance of the defense, Sooners win this game 31-24. Instead, Mr. Clutch Tim Tebow (gotta give him his due....the kid is a natural leader and winner) took the Gator offense on his shoulders and willed them to win. That was the difference.....Tebow manned up and Bradford went deer-in-the-headlights on us.

Anyway, kudos and plaudits to the BCS champion Florida Gators. They earned it. If I'm an AP voter, however, I still vote Utah #1. That said, it isn't the Gators' fault that they don't get a chance to play so once again, congrats on the BCS championship to all you Gator lovers out there.

On a side note, I wonder if Bradford comes out now???

Final rankings for me:

Florida
USC
Oklahoma
Texas
Utah

Oklahoma with 2 losses and you rank them 3rd ahead of once-beaten Texas and undefeated Utah??? I sure don't see that. If I had a AP vote, my ballot would be as follows:

Utah
Florida
Texas
USC
Oklahoma

What a crock. Didn't Ole' Miss beat Texas Tech????

And Tech beat Texas who beat Oklahoma. It's a beauty contest....that's why USC jumped Texas. I agree....what a crock indeed.

nailed it. beauty contest. and the media loves USC because they are in "hollywood" and are "movie stars". bullshit. just cause their school is in LA doesn't mean that they are movie stars. cut the shit. LA isn't the epitome of being cool anymore, maybe it was that way in the 50's, but not anymore.

i'm sick of how USC jumps so high in the rankings after beating up on weak pac 10 teams. put them in the SEC and they will lose at least 3 games.

but that will never happen, they will keep letting the media suck 'em off.

Are you guys complaining because USC is third?
They are there because they deserve to be. Beauty contest. Ha.

And if you really think USC would lose 3 games in the SEC, why dont they schedule USC for an OOC game??

Thats what I thought. At least OSU has the balls to put their money where their mouth is.

:1orglaugh Should we ask Aubie Fan and Arky Fan if they agree with you? Arky still has the skidmarks from that 70point beatdown on their uniforms.

I think USC would roll through the SEC like Genghis FUCKING Kahn because USC WOULD BE UP FOR EVERY GAME:rolleyes: That's been the Trojans problem in the past. They have a mental letdown every season, usually immediately the game after a huge win.

The bigger the game the better USC plays. The Pac10 had a bad season OOC, conference wide and had the 3 worst college teams in all of college football--but the Pac10 made up for it all with an impressive bowl season. Oregon looks like they could roll anyone. Imagine the Ducks in a playoff scenario? Even the Beavs played pretty well without the 'Quizz brothers.

Sam Bradford absolutely should leave for the NFL. I blame his OC and Big Game Bob's blundering BCS Bowl Preparation for his not looking like a great NFL prospect. Put him under the guidance of an NFL Org and he will be a pretty good player. The only thing that concerns me about Matthew Stafford is that he likes to hang around Tony Jabroney Romeo in the offseason and Lil' Romeo's crappy stink might've rubbed off onto Stafford...

Tebow has nothing to play for in college. He needs to leave for the NFL as well. People will get tired of Tebow next year in college. I think Tebow can play right away in the NFL as a Chris Cooley type H-back for the right team. He could probably run the Wildcat for the Lions, but he can't be a serious NFL QB. NFL CBs will feast on his passes...

I don't know where the hell everybody should be. And I'm no SEC fan by any stretch. I hate the PAC10, but everybody here knows that. Sure, USC got screwed a little. Welcome to the club. But ask Mr. Unbiased Football Fan one question: if you were a team, would you rather play a PAC10 schedule, or an SEC schedule?
