florida vs ohio state


somehow, i dont think this is going to be a good game. i sense a blowout.

Yes, I don't like Michigan, but they are the second best team in the country, and would have the best chance against OSU. Florida just had too many games where it scrapped by against opponents that weren't that good even if it's schedule was a little tougher, and looked lackluster in a large chunk of their games. Plus for the most part the Michigan program showed more class in all of this while Florida and some its supporters went on a whine and beg-a-thon the last 24 hours. You would think situations like this would make them finally implement a playoff system with 8 teams or something, but they will never do that. The reason why is money, and the bowls are big money for both the colleges and the people who run the bowls and they don't want to give that up or split the money for the integrity of the sport.

Then again who knows what will happen in football. There is always that, "any given Sunday" effect.

I think that Ohio State and Florida is a very bad matchup. If anything, Florida and Michigan should have a playoff to see who gets to play for the national championship. Just because Florida had one more game than Michigan which help move them to second is not very fair to Michigan.

florida did have a much tougher schedule.

Seriously, we had to play Tenessee, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, and Arkansas. Granted Bama and Georgia weren't the greatest this year, but I still think we deserve a chance over a team that already had a shot. I don't think it would have been fair to OSU if they had to play Miiiichigan again. anyways it doesn't matter because in the end it's UF vs. OSU.

With the Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders looking to have the first two picks with only a few games left. I sort of pity Troy Smith and Brady Quinn next year. I hope he enjoys the time he has left. :1orglaugh

Once again, Notre Dame and their coach Charlie Weis prove they are totally overrated...

I read this in a recap of the game.

Penn State won, Notre Dame lost, and Boise State won with some of the best trickeration I've ever seen ... ahhhhhh, it's been a good week!

I guess it was a good year. Both Notre Dame and Michigan showed they were overrated so it can't be all bad. I wasn't going to watch the Boise State/Oklahoma game, but I did and am glad I done so. That last play was a thing of beauty, and is part of the reason I like football so much.

I don't think this is anywhere near the worse moments for Notre Dame though. I think that happened during the 1966 tie game when Ara Parseghian went for the tie. Now that was embarrassing.

Man....where's the chatter about tonight? There was a lot more interest last year when my beloved 'horns whipped USC. Must be because everyone knows that OSU will prevail....they are just a better team. I do expect Florida to cover the 7.5 points. I'll go with the over (47).

Final score....OSU 30, Florida 24
