Well, this new look came as a surprise. Some disadvantageous changes, beside the look factor (which is nice), as well.
Two technical imperfections hit me. One is that meant-to-be-invisible code used in the old system, as with the "NOBABE" tag, is now showing up on older posts using the tag... leading to unfortunate clutter.
Another is that words containing the letters T-E-S-T (as with, say, "grea-T-E-S-T," or "pro-T-E-S-T," or — now will be spelling out the second example — "protest") now display a smiley emoticon thingie holding up an intimidating "Smile! You're about to get banned" sign. (As will probably be seen in the spelled-out version, above.)
I hope a change that would be for the better has been implemented, where posts are allowed to be edited for a greater period than for ten minutes, as with the older system. (After posting this, I noticed an "Edit" option which allowed me to return and to add this new sentence, in parentheses; it would be lovely if this editing option has been allowed to not expire.)
(I just checked an older post of mine without the "Edit" option, so apparently, the option does expire. I've never been able to understand the reason why older posts cannot be updated. This would be wonderful, for example, when photos disappear and other information needs to be updated.)
