The End of the TSA?

Will E Worm

Conspiracy...
Surely you're kidding, Will E.....please tell me you are!

:nono:

That's groping to you?

No more pat downs in airports!!! A.K.A. Use your kids as a drug mule.

it sure is and they don't just go outside the clothes, they go in the pants now too in many cases

They are perverts.

“Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” - Benjamin Franklin

I'd rather face the dangers of being free

the 4th amendment anyone???????? 6 year old pat downs do not make us any safer

That's what they think. They think like perverts. TSA is in direct violation of the 4th amendment.

I would have a lot fewer objections to the TSA if it were effective....it isn't. Personally, I have smuggled a contraband item (a pocketknife) on board literally dozens of flights and NEVER ONCE has it been detected. It's ridiculously easy. If I....a traveling businessman....have thought of how to get away with it, do you think there is any chance in hell that the terrorists haven't?

Besides, hijacking planes is so passe'. I would think that something more ubiquitous (like a shopping mall or school) will be the target next time....if for no other reason than to display how vulnerable we truly are. I dread the day it happens and fervently hope that it doesn't.

They sure aren't effective. ;) Smuggling contraband and they didn't catch you!? :surprise: :D

anyone who feels the need to grope down little kids everyday at the airport in the name of security is a moron

Again... they are degenerate perverts.

Wag your finger and stick out your silly little tongue all you want, amigo. The question was legitimate. Telling Diva to "move to Canada" and actually meaning it is damn-near the dumbest thing I've ever read on this forum. See if you can figure out why, Mr. Cupcake.

I feel the exact same way. Right before the plane crashed, I'd take the opportunity to ask them if their opinions on airline safety had changed. I would also remind them that the TSA is a necessary evil in keeping passengers safe. And like any other organization, they are going to occasionally make mistakes. However, what does not get publicized or talked about are the millions of people who go through their screening process without so much as a hitch.

Anyone who thinks that we are better off without the TSA or some other safety organization is a fucking moron. Yes, I'm talking to you. If you believe that we don't need the TSA (or something like it) you are a fucking moron. This is not up for debate. This is not an opinion. This is a fact. If you think it's a good idea to just let people on to a plane without checking them for any type of weapons or explosive devices, you're a naïve fucking moron. I feel bad for your obvious low level of intelligence and common sense, but you're still a fucking moron.

That is all.

Well, ok. If we're going to let the discussion go in this direction, you're a limp-wristed, dickless puss who needs Daddy to take of you. And you're an obtuse imbecile for not reading what anyone has written. (So there, nanner) No one is saying eliminate airport security, and you know this. No one is against reasonable precautions, and you know this. And the moron is you if you think that the TSA is worth the price, worth the bureaucracy or entitled to violate peoples rights.

Please explain to me how airline security is going to completely disappear as outlined in the articles above. Try sticking to the facts and....y'know, being coherent when you reply. It's for your own safety.

I can't wait to die in a bombed plane because some people whine about being patted down. I hope they're on the same plane as me.

I hear they're going to start checking your oil to see if you're hiding anything up there. Just you.

A pat down is a reasonable method for determining whether an individual has a weapon, or other prohibited item. Also, if person administering said pat down doesn't touch you crotch, they aren't doing it right. Be a grown up and realize that its non-sexual.

Is that what Americans do? Just cry "(blank) amendment" whenever they feel like it?
Yes, Diva, First Amendment. :D

I took the liberty of cutting your post down to the relevant parts. Sorry, it was only one sentence long.

Do a me a favor real quick: ask the Worm if we should have any type of airline security whatsoever. Go ahead, ask him. I'll wait... He was the main person I was addressing in my post (after all, he's the thread creator) but thanks for jumping in and giving your opinion. I'm usually not interested in anything you have to say anyway, but it's amusing to read your little rants occasionally. Real cool story, bro. Glad you could contribute.

Step 1 in not being a moron is figuring out what you are trying to say before you say it. Step 2 is knowing who you are addressing. Once you get these key areas figured out, remind me who you are and LMK what a good job you did. I promise to act impressed in a semi-convincing way for the 5 seconds it takes to your attention span to wander off to something else.

STDiva and I are on good terms. ;)

Take the security back to before everyone had to take off their shoes.

Despite the relatively lax moderating of the board as of late, I'm relatively certain that I can't insult another member directly by calling them a fucking moron. Hence the roundabout way of addressing of Sir Worm.

Got it now? Did I go too fast? I'm still not completely sure what your problem is with me, but I appreciate the animosity. Sorry, I'm not able to reciprocate. I find harboring grudges to be quite tiresome...

I have no more animosity towards you that anyone else around here. I responded to your post where you said that anyone who thinks we're better off without the TSA is a fucking moron. Your words. Well, I'm one of those anyones. And I wasn't pissed when I responded, hence the (so there, nanner) that I included. And if you think that I single out anything you post, we have definitely run into a case of someone needing to get over themselves.

The TSA and Dept. of Homeland Security are and were complete wastes of time and taxpayer money. They are emblematic of the troubling drop in civil liberties that has happened to my country. They were originated by the same Republican Party that keeps railing about smaller government, less taxes, less spending and more freedom. They and the agencies they created are blatant hypocrites who have taken away crucially needed funding from the DoD, CIA and FBI; all of whom who are capable of doing the exact same jobs that this whole new bureaucracy does a particularly piss-poor job at. That's how much of a fucking moron I am. :hatsoff:

FEMA is not as much a waste of time as it is an agency that cries out for spectacularly good leadership......which they have not had in the past.

If I was the Pres, when Gen. Tommie Franks retired, I would have handed him his gold watch personally and congratulated him on becoming my new Fema director. Wait, what? That's right motherhumper, and here's a particularly attractive intern and a squad of armed Marines to escort you to your new office. Now get to work.

ok. boot the TSA, and expand the federal air marshal service so theres at least one marshal on every single plane over US territory. at all times. either or. pick one.

I'm all for the TSA doing what they need to do to keep air travel safe. Xray scans, patdowns, whatever. Normal protocol is fine. But its those with a power trip who assault, humiliate and make travellers feel unsafe who need to be removed. I've heard stories of passengers with colonoscopy bags having them exposed in front of other passengers, or urine bags broke open in front of everyone, plus women who've been legitimately groped...that shit ain't necessary. If a passenger requests a private room because of sensitive issues, then give it to them. Treat people with respect. I myself was dirty talked by a TSA agent a year ago and I got on my plane feeling disgusted and angry that this person was employed to keep people feeling and being safe. When passengers report that kind of shit, it needs to be dealt with stat. Just like with certain police officers going on a power trip and abusing their power, some TSA agents are the same.

So - keep the current protocol but also ensure that passengers are protected and respected. There CAN be a middle ground here to keep both parties happy.

First of all, no there can't. :nono: Second, if that's your idea of "middle ground", you're a natural for American politics. Force a feed-bag of bullshit on the public, then backpeddle 5% and say that you're meeting your opposition in the middle. If Gingrich gets in, keep your phone on you. You'll be getting a call 12:10 on Inauguration Day.

How many here remember walking with family/friends to the departure area and not having to have ANYTHING scanned? Hell, there weren't even any security guards.

But it gets even worse. Been to an NFL game lately and going through the turnstiles showing your ticket? It's damn near as bad as going through security at the airport.

I'm Canadian. I don't know jack about Gingrich or American politics. All I know is that flying into and throughout the US can be a nightmare for many people who don't deserve the kind of treatment they get. TSA agents who abuse their authority should be punished...and regular protocol should continue (although I firmly believe what they're doing now isn't doing anything to keep jackasses off flights - the system they have in place isn't effective in the slightest - but thats another can of worms)
