Well, thanks for the compliment. And you make some interesting points. And you spell it out; more or less; how it really is. Which is more or less all I want all to do.

I honestly do not think that everyone sees it THAT clearly. Most? Probably. But not all. And not all the time. And that is all I want, really.

And, btw. I believe up until about 20 years or so ago; pornography was considered prostitution in the Untied States. But then the Supreme Court called it art. And it became legal.
And that is what porn is - prostitution. Someone paying someone else to have sex (which I think should be legal anyways). So pornstars ARE - in essence - prostitutes. So all I am asking is for them to treat it like it really is.

So my question is: do you think women like Chloe Jones' lives would be better or worse if pornography did not exist?
I think the answer to that is a big 'better'.
Yes, many are probably fucked up before they get into it. But one of the reasons these women get SO fucked up - in my opinion - is because of all the quick, 'easy' money available. And as someone who once had ALOT of quick easy money; I can tell you; take a person who is a bit lost inside; give them a shitload of easy money and they will probably end up VERY lost inside.
No matter what your profession. Then add on the self esteem lowering that the sex trade can do to people.

No, if the pornstars made it look less glamourous. And more like what I have been told, read and heard that it really is - not glamorous at all most of the time. Then the fantasy would be less for the guys. And the guys would like it less and use it less. And the industry would shrink. And that can only be a good thing - to me.

But, that obviously wil not happen any time soon. If ever, in my lifetime anyway.

No, I still believe the adult entertainment industry causes far more harm then good. And just that (to me) fact alone means that it should be looked at more carefully. The status quo may be fine for you and I. We buy porn; whack off and forget it. But the women have to live with every scene they do for the rest of their lives.
There is something not right about that. Very not right.

Oh, and for the record. I had sex with a hooker once over twenty years ago, and that was it. I have spent time with alot of them since and (used to) get high with some of them. But the thought of paying someone to have sex with me if they are not attracted to me doesn't turn me on in the slightest.

Why it turns other men on is beyond me. Must be because they have WAY over inflated opinions of either themselves or how others see them. And that probably more then any other reason is why porn thrives. Most guys think they are MUCH more attractive then they are. Or, they think women are much less interested in looks then they really are.
I got news for you guys (apparently). They like looks almost as much as you do. Especially the younger ones. They will almost NEVER admit that - on the job. But they do. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. We want babes. Why shouldn't they?

So that's the solution. Somehow slip sodium pentathol into every adult industry workers food on a daily basis and presto! Almost no more pron industry.

Fan/porn freak 'Oh Megan Starlet. Do you really think I am good looking?
Megan (not on truth drug) - 'Oh sure baby. Your a cutie.'

Same woman on truth drug - 'Good looking? You? get real. I wouldn't give you the time of day without the cash. Oh, and honey? Forget what I said before. Truth is; of course size (to a point) matters. Why the fuck would it not?'

That's the solution.:)

Wrong!

Humans are creatures of habit and laziness. Some creatures are going to shine brightly for a long time, some are going to grind out a hapless existence, and some just aren't gonna make it too far at all. There's always a dark path to go down and some are going to take it no matter what it is. It doesn't matter if it's porn, drugs, or Ashlee Simpson music; some people are just going to make the wrong decision. You can only blame the choices people make, not the options that they have .

Yes I can and I will. lol.

My, you have a positive outlook on the human spirit. I hope you are never a suicide counsellor.lol.

ANyway, I disagree with you, obviously. I do not believe people that go down the 'bad' path are predisposed to do it no matter what the consequences.
And, no offense. but I think you are at least partly saying that to justify your (and my and other porn 'addicts') actions. It doesn't matter how much porn we purchase; if it wasen't for porn, those that get fucked up would still be just as fucked up - is more or less what I think you are saying. And since you cannot know that for sure. Then you cannot say that with any degree of accuracy.
And I cannot prove that statement is wrong either.

I just believe it to be so.

I was a crack addict. And I KNOW (as strongly as I can know anything that I cannot actually know - if that makes any sense) that my life would be better then it is if I had not have been tricked into using crack back in 1999.
Would my life be ALOT better? Maybe; maybe not. But I guarantee you it would be better.
So no. I strongly, but respectfully disagree with you.

I guess this is one of those 'agree to disagree' situations.

Yeah, I guess it is. Except for one thing: I have more rep points than you so I must be right? LOL. Seriously, though, I have a great outlook on the human spirit and an individual's ability to prevail over incredible odds but you and I both know there's bad apples in every bushel. Like Tommy Lee Jones' character in Men In Black said when telling Will Smith that the world couldn't handle the truth: "No, a PERSON is smart but PEOPLE are stupid". I don't know if that analogy means shit but I think it gets a point accross. Anyway, great to have this discussion but let's agree we've both made great points and move along and let those who are grieving over Chloe have their thread back. :glugglug:

Fair enough.

but when I read posts like those right above you (deeply in love'), even though I assume they are exaggerating. It makes me cringe and makes me realize that people need more truth in their lives, not less.

There is never any such thing as too much truth. Never. And if people cannot handle it...too bad. They will eventually. No offense.

Later.

With all due respect to people...this is getting a bit out of hand.

We are talking about a person that (I assume) none of you ever knew personally. It's sad and all...but many of you people sound like you just lost your personal friend.
If she was ugly, none of you would be going on like this.

4 U.S. soldiers died in Iraq today (apparently). Now I was/am against the war in Iraq. But even I have to acknoledge that these people volunteered for a duty (probably) because they thought they were helping their country (and maybe the world). Naive, maybe. But a noble sentiment nonetheless.
But you never hear any of the over 1600 men and women of the U.S. military who died over their mentioned in a thread. Not even by Americans. But one once gorgeous pornstar dies at 29 and the thread goes on and on.

And say what you want about the war over there (which, as I typed, I think is silly and the U.S. should get out); is anyone suggesting that any of those 1600 were less worthy of praise and RIP's then a once beautiful pornstar? And most of them were much younger then Chloe Jones was.
Oh, but hers was sudden. We don't know how it happened? She was a troubled person who led a fast life with some medical problems. No wonder she is dead. I wish (especially for her kids sake) that she was not. And if it was from natural causes, that would be sad. But I bet you her lifestyle contributed, in some way, to her early demise. And she picked her lifestyle. So her death, as far as I am concerned is at least partly of her own doing - until I hear eveidence to the contrary.

And like I said...if she was a run-of-the-mill looking pornstar; no one would have mentioned it. But because she was once a babe; many act like they will miss her so much.
You should miss her no more then any other human being that you never knew personally. She was no better or worse. Just, at one time, MUCH better looking.

So I am not saying shame on some of you or anything. But she is not the first pornstar to die recently. But she is the best looking that has died in a LONG time. So she gets the longest and most heart felt sounding R.I.P.'s.
So the bottom line is; sorry people; but some of you are, at this point in your lives, rather too focused on looks and star power. If she was just an average looking pornstar - few of you would have noticed or cared. And to me, that is kind of sad. Not horrible. Just kinda sad.

That was why I wanted some respect. I was not in Baghdad, but I was an active Infantryman, and I DID see action, I don't care what someone looks like, death is a horrable thing to see.

I understand death, I have had to tell wives that there husbands loved them. I know what those who Chloe knew are going through.

Still I was kinda a dick about it, sorry.

No worries on this man. I did not know you were a soldier. Sorry you had to go through it. Like I said, I think it is a dumb war - especially after Baghdad fell. But the nobility of most of the soldiers over there I am not questioning for a minute.
Stars aren't heros just because they are stars. Athletes aren't heros just becuase they are athletes. And probably half the people that the masses call heros are not heros.
But to knowingly risk (and eventually give) your life to help others (especially strangers) - expecting no praise in return. Now THAT is - to me - a REAL hero.

I would salute you but I was only in the Canadian military for six hours or so - until they found out I had a criminal record (but I did try to get in) - so I do not qualify.

Later.

Every life is important. I would not have joined if I did not think that. (I joined to protect, not to hold a rifle)

To me the Mother Thereasa was hero, the single working mother is a hero. That's what Chloe was, and her life was never publized until she died. I'm not sorry cause of the body, but because she was a good person.

Chloe Jones Has Died!!!!!!

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Former adult film star Chloe Jones died on Saturday morning in her hometown of Houston. She was 29.

Jones' best friend, Karen Struble, said the cause of her passing was not yet known. Her 30th birthday would have been June 17. "It was sudden," Struble told AVN.com. "She meant a lot to me. I've known her for 10 years. We had a lot of fun together. Whenever she was in California, we were together. The last time I saw her was in February for some appearances. The last time I spoke to her was a few weeks ago." Jones, a Penthouse Pet in April 1998, was a contract performer for Vivid Entertainment Group and New Sensations, the first company with which she was exclusive in 2001. She also had layouts in Playboy and Vanity Fair, among numerous other magazines, in addition to mainstream appearances on shows such as "Baywatch," "Diagnosis Murder," "Edenquest" and Showtime's "Full Frontal Comedy." Jones performed in less than 30 productions in four years, and had stopped performing in adult videos last year.

"She was fun. She was a prankster," Struble continued. "She had a good heart deep down, and I just know a lot of people in the business didn't see that side of her. She had a funny laugh. She just wanted to be loved."

Struble said that she met Jones 10 years ago at an audition for a Joan Jett music video.

"I wound up getting the job out of it. We all rode with Crazy Chloe. She'd run stoplights. She was a crazy girl. We were having a lot of fun. A month after that, I wound up living with her at her place {in LA}. She was adventurous, and ballsy and courageous. She wanted to take life by the horns."

Struble said that Jones recently expressed a desire to write a book.

"As far as the adult industry, she was trying to get away from it," she said. "She was taking a lot of rest. Her next goal was to write a book. ... I talked to her at least every other month minimum. She would stay with me when she came to LA."

Struble continued, "She had a lot of different faces. To those who really knew her, she was fun, crazy and adventurous. She was a storyteller. She's known the most for her storytelling. She was a good person."

All Media Play's Jeff Mullen got to know Jones during her adult film career.

"Chloe Jones was a good friend of ours," Mullen said. "I first worked with Chloe when she was signed to New Sensations a few years back and had never met anybody quite like her. She was Texas-sized fun and often times quite the pain in the ass but if you really spent any social time with her, you realized she was totally cool.

"I remember going on a wild trip to Brazil and we were getting on the airplane and she was arguing with this guy to move to a different seat so that our group could all sit together. The guy was a prick and wouldn't budge, and much to our surprise, he was the still photographer assigned to covering her on the trip. That was typical Chloe. We all had a big laugh about that one. ... As a representative for All Media Play and New Sensations we send out our heartfelt condolences to her family in Texas."

Jones is survived by three children, an 8-year-old girl and 7-year-old twin boys.

"She loved her children very much and she wanted them to be happy," Struble added.

Club Jenna Inc. indicated it would be setting up a fund for Jones' children that it would contribute to on a monthly basis.
