The 2021 Moderator Search (WHO CAN IT BE NOW?)

Anyhow, there are several members on here that irk the shit out of me for varying reasons, but I remain impartial, because that's what we need to do.

😲

Also, being a moderator is great, @Petra buys you a cake if you are chosen.

The cake:

If you don't end up finding a willing victim volunteer, I might suggest a "bounty" system, with FO points or premium membership etc up for grabs.

Like, lets say you're having difficulty keeping up going through threads looking for offending posts. You could put out a call for moderation flags.
Lots of solved but unmarked ID threads? Tons of questions from noobs? Same thing. This system would also let you focus on the areas you need help.

You could restrict the bounty by rep score, or you could send out a signup sheet for those who want to participate in the "game" and curate the list. Top "hunters" could even be given rights to move threads, which could help in those duties as well, unlocking a set of "exclusive" bounties for them.

I know administering the scoring is going to create some work, but if you design it well, it will be less work than doing the moderating yourselves. Who knows, maybe You Might even be able to download/delegate a lot of your own duties to the bounty hunters?

I think it's the commitment that might be scaring people off. This would address that. And motivation - as much as Petra's cake sounds tasty, the bounty certainly sweetens the deal.

Just thought I'd throw it out there. Gamification is a proven concept. It could work here too.

It's obvious that he's on here to just collect reactions. There's no rule against that.

Years ago, I was a member on PeachyForum and the admins over there were like dictators. I don't know if they run it the same now, but it got bad, so I stopped going there. I only post an occasional link from them if I happen to see it listed on TheNude.
This isn't against the rules, but it is frowned upon.

I've said this before - if you don't have the common courtesy to at the very least identify who you are posting pictures of, then you are being half as good a contributor as you could be.

The same goes for gallery / video links - if you're not giving a brief description of what's going on, then you're not helping much.

Like I say, these aren't rule breakers. But there are several prominent members of the board who fall foul of one or both of these points and considering their posting volume, they would make this board significantly more functional and easy-to-use if they chose to spend a few seconds saying who they're posting or what they're posting.

If you see particularly egregious examples of what I'm on about, please let me know and I will get the offenders a gentle nudge. Just don't expect a reply next week because I'm on holiday.

If you look at the first three pages of Niche and Fetish right now. He's there doing his "spamming" Good God Almighty. I'm glad I have him on ignore. :)

If he tried that (not naming babes or scenes) -- when posting in the ID sections, both in the Identify/Name the Babe Forum and the new Model Selection and Scenes Request Forum -- he'd be run out of town. Therefore, it is good that he doesn't go in there. Those places.

Rivasky, Edirons, and Annod told me early on when posting in there, the Identify/Name the Babe Forum, that you have to have dignity and class. Because to even ask a question like who a model is means that you need assistance and then also that you have to have an open mind as to take suggestions on who she is.

There are literally MANY thousands of unmarked threads like that, and as I don't get paid for this, I won't be participating.

A slight side step, but does anyone else think of "Men at Work" and sing in their head the title of the song, when they read the second part of this thread title?

Or am I just really starting to show my age?

FYI: For those of you have noticed the new bug (link repetition), I have figured out a way to get it to stop on new posts. If it happens on any new posts, edit the post and toggle the BB code before saving. It works for me and I told another member about it, and he told me that it worked for him also.

It doesn't work, at least in all circumstances. I'm having no luck with toggling BB codes, in some cases it makes the problem worse. What I don't understand is how such a destructive bug is still active on the board. Whatever change or set of changes that cause this should have been reverted immediately until y'all figure this out. Not acceptable guys.

The workaround that actually seems to work is to not put multiple links in single post, post them in two separate posts instead but this goes against board rules. You can also try the "insert link" function for the second link. Where all this falls apart is that if you insert a girls name that turns into a link to her thread, that can also trigger this ugly bug.

Update: the best workaround I've found after fighting with this bug all morning is to add the second and subsequent links in a post using the "insert link" paper-clip button.
