That's tragic news. Hate to hear stuff like this. I don't know what spectator sport is more dangerous, hockey or baseball. This doesn't come quite as close to the girl that got killed by the puck (leading to the nets being put up) but this is terrible.

I never like being in certain areas of my MLB's stadium. Call me a coward, call me a wuss, I don't care. :2 cents:

Well, there's always next year.

:(

I'm gonna be laughing my ass off when on their home opener a week from now it's snowing at Target Field. That right there is gonna be some classic shit. I just cannot recall the last time it was ever this cold during the beginning of a season.

Geez....looks like bad omens for my beloved Cardinals so far. First, this idiotic Pujols thing is hanging over our heads, then Wainwright blows out his elbow, our shit closer Ryan Franklin chokes up a sure save to lose the home opener yesterday and now today Matt Holliday has an emergency appendectomy and is likely out for a couple of weeks minimum.

I'm not feeling real good about things right now. :crying:

This makes me smile. :D

Misery loves company. I don't have a laundry list of problems though. We're the Cubs. Me make our own bad luck.

Long live the Curse of the Goat. I do need to make another pilgrimage to Wrigleyville this summer though. I've been jonesing for a return....hopefully during a Cardinals-Cubs weekend tilt. Nothing better than that anywhere!!!

Yeah, I'm taking a personal day for a road trip to Wrigley on Wednesday against the D-Backs. :o It's $30 for a bus trip there and back and that price includes the ticket. We can also drink on the way there as long as we do it discreetly. We'll get there about an hour early and then pregame drink at the Cubby Bear in Wrigleyville. Hell, it doesn't even matter where we're sitting for the game, there's not a bad seat in the place (IMO).

Cards are definitely our chief rival. I love beating them more than any other team.

And oh how it hurts when you lose to us, huh?? Nothing feels better than a Cardinal victory over the Cubs! Well, maybe a blowjob but not many other things that's for sure! ;):D

My White Sox got a win today over the lowly Indians but boy did they blow a huge lead. Up 14-0 at one point but the Indians managed to creep back scoring 10 runs, very sloppy on the Sox's part. If they can manage to hit like this all season they are going to be a tough out especially with that pitching staff they have.

I'm still shocked the orioles won last night... Watch out bluejays and Tampa, we're going for 3rd place this year! (that's all us o's fans have left to hope for)

I think the american league east will be competitive this year. If Manny, Johnny Damon (with Tampa) and Vlad (with Orioles) stay healthy, I think things can get interesting. Overall, I think order of the teams at the end of the season will be Red Sox, Yankees, Tampa Bay, Blue Jays and Orioles.

Jays made the Twins their bitch yesterday. Unfortunately it's probably going to be all downhill from here.

I guess 161-1 would still put us in the playoffs.

Great comeback win today by the Cubbies. I hope Z's injury was only minor. It would not be good to lose our #2 pitcher after his first outing of the season.

Marmol looked filthy today. Struck out all 3 he faced in the 9th to get the save. When he has his stuff, he'd unhittable.
