Soooo... I signed the papers today

After much (persistent) cajoling from my daughter (and with tacit, silent support from her mother); I took a deep breath, drove over to their office and signed the papers.

Sometime November/December of this year, I will accompany a group of medical specialists ---- Nurses, Doctors, Surgeons, Pharmacists ---- and other lay folk on a medical, humanitarian mission to Vietnam.

We intend to spend time in the non-urban areas as these areas lack infrastructure and basic health care.

My daughter wants to come with me but there seems to be some "issues" with DOJ and the State Department with her passport. Trying to get that sorted out.

I guess that's all for now. So if I disappear sometime during the end of this year, y'all know where I'll be! :)

cheers,

I certainly envy you Roughneck. I wish I were able to give on that grand of a level. *la sigh* I do what I can though, so I can live with that. I do commend you and your daughter, wishing you both the best of luck. Try and let us know though when it comes together, so we can give the proper sendoff. :)
