Environmental and egotistical issues aside...

I would never, ever, ever be caught dead in something that looks like it was designed by little Billy in 2nd grade: Here's a box of crayons (the fat ones), Billy, now draw us your dream car.

How any company could release something so ugly, penned during amateur hour, so obnoxious? Thank God I may on see one every few weeks.

Vulgarity has many names, this one being the latest.

You're right. It does seem to exist just to insult some people's sensibilities. :1orglaugh

I could say something like "they need that car to make up for their small penises", but instead I'll try to say something constructive.

The way I see it, no one in their right mind would buy a hummer. They're not very classy (despite what 50 Cent says), they're expensive both regarding price and gas. On top of that they pollute and they ruin the whole safety in traffic. Basically, driving a hummer, you raise yourself above the intended crash point on most cars. For the "accordion" (don't know if that is the right word, but that's what we call it) effect to take place, cars in general should be at the same level so the impulse from the two cars is split between the two and taken out on the engine in the front and not straight onto the driver's seat. By making a car that crashes half a meter above the others, you're devastating the ones you crash with, and save yourself. It's understandable, but it's also about as egoistic and stupid as stealing other people's oxygen on an air plane, when everyone has their own.

So in conclusion I don't see any reason to drive them no. Luckily in Sweden, the guys driving cars like hummers are paying sky-high taxes - something I don't expect to happen in the US though (no offense, just saying).

I guess the people driving hummers need to make up for their small penises... ;)

The only hummer I would drive would be a h1 army hummer with the m2 machine gun. Yes it consums gasoline but expensive exotics like ferraris or lambos are also gas guzzlers, so what makes the difference?
The h1 can go on all kind of roads, it is a very heavy duty truck which can deal with repeted beatings. Otherwise I would rather drive an oldschool 1970 cadillac eldroado with the 500ci engine. The 1970 eldorado is an ultimate personal car.

My jeep only gets 16 mpg, but I would love to find a more economical 4x4 that can still get me to work before the roads get plowed, I just haven't been able to yet. Sometimes I have to drive through a foot of snow and that's just the way it is.
As for your rant, I don't see the difference between driving a Hummer and the countless millions of Americans driving 3500 duallies around all day with nothing in them.

indeed, that was another thing i was just talking to my girl about. i live in an area where its "in" to have a fucking duallie. (spelling?)

theres a bunch of cowboy wannabes with their coors light and their ugly dogs, but that aside, they all drive big fucking trucks WITH NOTHING IN THEM!

i note these things, people say they need them for work, etc but i have yet to see one with so much as a 2x4 in them. they only time i see a truck being used for work is the gardeners, and they are pulling a little cage with a couple of rakes in it and they are driving the little rangers. (which gas mileage isnt too bad in comparison)

its an image thing, and the hummers, oh man. those guys have their windows down and the bass up, never indicating, cutting people off, etc. and it really must be nice to have a $400.00 a week gas usage and not give a fuck. drive it to the store, drive it to the bank, its like c'mon.

its just irresponsible and again, for every hummer out there, it cancels out 4 focus/accord/corollas (35-40mpg) and cancels out like 2 hybrids. its astonishing that these are ok'd as a mode of transportation!

No doubt about it hummers are the s**t. but i dont like the H2 or H3. Its all about the original hummers their built for hard core power

Over the summer I saw Chris Eubank pull up outside a Starbucks in his big black Hummer (it was down a market street road which I'm not sure you're even allowed to drive down) and ordered some ridiculously long named coffee like mocha chocka coka doka ecka loca cappacino, got back in his van and sped off towards more pedestrians.

And I just shook my head and thought "wanker", I'm pretty sure everyone else around did too...

Hummers suck for the general public. They were originally just for military use and they were, and still are called Humvees. This bullshit that they put out on the street is just a perversion of a vehicle that's roots are from military applications.

Now as for the assholes driving them, they can only be blamed to a certain extent.GM started mass production for the public to try and snuff out the demand for the electric car that they produced. You guys should really watch the documentary "Who Killed The Electric Car" and you'll see what I'm talking about. They tried to sell you on the fact that a bigger car is a safer car and the small economical electric car wasn't as safe or reliable and people(especially those who could afford it) bought the shit they were selling, literally!

The government wants you to drive a Hummer and use as much gas as possible.Imagine if the world stopped using gasoline to fuel their cars, there would be so much money lost that it's ridiculous,or that's how the government perceives it,but of course we know that we would still use oil and other fossil fuels for other things, like producing plastic for example, just not as quickly as the greedy bastards would want us to.

All I can say is watch "Who Killed The Electric Car",and if it doesn't piss you off, then maybe you don't really understand what's really going on.

oh i know, the companies have a plan and its obvious what it is and whos influencing them. but yes, the people are buying them and driving them. where is the personal responsibility? just because someone makes something, it doesnt mean you have to use it. we cant rely on the government, and we cant rely on the car manufacturers, so why cant we rely on personal responsibility? it boggles my mind. (quote peggy hill)

This is America, where personal accountability is out of the window.A majority of people in this country are idiots,i.e. the reelection of GWB.You can tell people that smoking is gonna kill them and they just keep doing it because they keep selling cigarettes.

This country is all about greed and having more and better things than the next guy, that is one of the unfortunate downsides of capitalism in general, imo.Make as much money as you possibly can,buy as much shit as you can, show it off as much as you can,and step on as many people on as you can. It's all bullshit.

I keyed the last hummer i saw.

How clever :lame: What would you do if someone keyed your car or slashed your tires? You would be pissed, wouldn't you? Don't do to the others what you don't want to be done to you.
