Simpsons or Futurama?

I disagree, I find the humor in Family guy to be of a lower level than Futurama or the Simpsons.

That said, I can't put one over the other. The Simpsons is so classic, and dominates with it's sheer volume of laughs, yet Futurama gives Matt Groening the freedom to be even more absurd with great results. On top of that, Zap Brannigan is the greatest support character in the history of television, hands down, yes, even better than Montgomery Burns.

SACRILEGE! "Release the hounds!" CM Burns is the greatest badass boss ever in television...(even puts my boy Boss Hogg to shame!)

I agree with you about superiority of humor. The Simpsons is on a far higher plane than Family Guy. Futurama was only okay..

I have seen all the cartoons at one time or another. Simpsons payed the way for all of the recent cartoons. The simpsons have been on the air for what 20 years? Of course their material isnt going to seem as fresh. Granted they are not as funny as they use to be, they are still hugely funnier than Futurama. I have seen many Futurama episodes, I didn't even find myself laughing or smiling 50% of the time. This is no contest. Simpsons at its prime was the king of comedy but for now I think:

1.South Park
2.Family guy
3.Simpsons
4.King of the Hill
5.American Dad
6.Futurama

I dont even think the last 3 are that good....

The Simpsons: a staple in television. classic animated humor. you haven't lived 'til you've seen enough episodes. Not taking anything away from Futurama. They both have porn by the way.

I got sick of The Simpsons a long time ago, it just got old!! I did like the movie but only because of Spiderpig!

Futurama is good. I like Family Guy best.
