Why is it...

Why is it that most fetish content gets shot in locations that make it look like some backwoods redneck is about to reenact some scene from a slasher movie? I only ask because most of the dungeons I've been to and played in have in truth been very nice clean establishments. Hell, a handful were even nicer than hotels I've stayed in as part of attending a convention. So, is this just more of the lifestyle not being presented properly due to the general public believing that this is what being in the BDSM lifestyle is like or are we dealing with the Roger Corman effect where the sets look cheap because people are trying to save money?

Hell, maybe it is a combo of the two... Like, you end up shooting on sets that look like a creepy barn or woodshed or something like that due to the tight budgets you have to work with due to shooting Fetish content, Only to have that image of what BDSM and the different play spaces that go with it get burned into people's brains as quote-unquote "authentic" when actual dungeons are usually a lot nicer than what's depicted.

So yeah what do you all think?
