Should there just be a "Mass shooting in the US" sticky thread?

Seven dead in Colorado Springs

Wow. Absolutely ******. On ******'s Day at a birthday party. Just amazing how demented people can be. Imagine the survivors especially the **** there, the neighbors, the cops and paramedics on the scene. I just got back home taking 2 great ******* out to dinner and getting them both *****. This story is quite a contrast.

Not sure if this is good or bad but Colorado held out since march 22nd as the last shooting.
Hey! Don't forget about FedEx (Apr 15 w/ 9 dead), the ex-NFLer (Apr 7 w/ 7 dead), the brothers in TX (Apr 5 w/ 6 dead), et al.

I know it's not "technically" a mass shooting (or even in the US), but proportionately speaking with Canada's shooting numbers, I thought this was worth mentioning because of how messed up it was. Plus the suspects were shooting at police and got away which raises a whole bunch of other questions.

Hey, I was Bragging on you folks.
👏 Colorado was just reclaiming its rightful place.

Piers Morgan nailed it:

"I wish Americans would stop pretending to be ‘shocked’ by the country’s unrelenting procession of mass shootings. You can’t be ‘shocked’ when something keeps happening that you do nothing to stop. Just admit you don’t care enough to act, because you love guns too much."

This is obvious: America needs more guns.

As I have said before, I want an UZI

Maybe we need a virus that prevents people from moving their trigger fingers?
Imagine the implications of a virus that affects your ability to use a ***. Gang members, NRA/anti-maskers etc wouldn't be able to think properly with all the contradictory messages.

I recall Bond was quipping it wasn't as crazy as past gadgets, and Q was like "we don't do that anymore".

Realistically though, we know how iffy unlocking your phone with your fingerprint can be; would you want that same system to be used on something that you could be using to defend your life with?

Although I appreciate the quality and creativity you guys are bringing to the discussion, the fact remains - most users of guns are either the owner or associated with the firearm in some manner. The biometrics still won't stop many shootings. Some of the accidental ones? Sure.

I am fatalistic about the whole situation: there is no solution. The proverbial genie is out of the bottle and she's not going back in.

Speaking of genies:
