Well this discussion degraded quite quickly. Though to be fair the initial poll question was a bit cheeky in the first place.
To try and bring the conversation back to a place of seriousness for a second, then we can go back to debating "fucktards". A cousin of mine was born with moderately/severe mental retardation. She never developed past the mental age of 7-8 years old. In order to protect her from possible predators out there, her mother and father decided to have her undergo a tubal ligation. They felt it was a effective means of protecting her against pregnancy in the event of a rape or other sexual behavior she may engage in.
The ethicacy of the practice is a hotly debated matter. It really comes down to case by case basis.

Right...the thread was a bit 'cheeky' whatever that means. (thinking Irishfan ought to meet sterilization for that one).

I'm all for supporting sterilizing those who's genetics will only be detrimental to future generations, (disease mental retardation birth defects) however what many consider stupid is a matter of education not genes.
Garbage in Garbage out.
get rid of the reality, intervention, how to shows, from TV - get back real educational TV.
public education is getting a great big love fest from the public, and the home school kids that your kids laugh at are growing up to be your kid's bosses, or at least the owners of the building your kids clean the toilets in.
Turn off Ice Road Truckers, Deadliest Catch, Pawn Stars & Dirty Jobs and take your kids to arts and science museums.
when the public high school tries to put your kids into a work program - tell their guidance counselors to go fuck themselves and help get them into college (and not community college).
Because who the Hell is going to orchestrate this vast genetic cleansing if no one can figure out how to at least snip and tie the undesirables up?
