Shayd World Tour

Alright guys and girls, I'd like to ask your help.

As you may or may not know, my wife and I are going on a vacation for the next 4 or 5 months, with trips all over the world. Our first stop was New York last week, and we are moving on from there. I was talking to my wife this week about what things we should see at all of our stops, and we realized we really didn't know. We will probably do all of the tourist-y things in all the places we go (i.e. Times Square in New York), but we're also hoping to see lesser know things along the way.

This is where all of you come in. I'm hoping to be on at least once a week to update our location, and was hoping you could all help out. I'll give our location, and those of you familiar with the area we will be visiting could suggest some attractions in the area. Great sights, restaurants, pretty much anything is welcome, because we're trying to go all out on this one. I (we) appreciate the help, and hope you can help.

This week we were in New York, and among other things, got to go to a Mets game last Sunday, and visited Times Square on Tuesday. I won't bore you with all of the other places, but it was awesome.

Now for the real deal. Tomorrow we fly to Boston, and spend the week there (we will be leaving next Saturday). So what do you say? Any suggestions?

Come to Chicago buddy. You will never eat better food ever, unless you come here to Chicago.

Well, I can't say that Des Moines, Iowa would be a great stop on your tour...

But what's really cool is that you'll be on vacation for 4 or 5 months! That would be nice.

Skip Missouri - there's nothing to do here, unless you like nature and small town bed and breakfasts. If that's the case, then I know some relaxing places.

He says world tour and you are only suggesting US destinations. :1orglaugh

Shayd, you should come over to Europe after Boston.
There are lots of things to see here besides the Sedins, who by the way should be back in Vancouver now.

Guys, I think he wants to know of places to see in BOSTON, or places to eat in Boston, not where he should and shouldnt go.

With that being said, sorry I cant help Im not familiar with the Boston area.

You could always go to a RedSox's games, and I think they have some pretty nice muesum's there.

Skip out on the entire midwest in America. And most of the south. Unless you wanna hit the indy 500 and watch cars girl in circles.. or hit up the area that hurricane Katrina destroyed..still lots of good food to be had.

Good to hear from you, shayd! Glad you are having fun so far on your touring! Glad to hear you went to a Mets game. Might as well skip the Yanks because they suck. I don't have any real suggestions about Boston. I've never been there. I would recommend Cape Cod, as it is exquisite, however it is kind of far from Boston. It would have to be an all-day trip. As mentioned, the Red Sox are a safe bet. Fenway Park is truly one of the gems in baseball.

Buy me some keychains? :looking hopeful:

You bet

Lord knows I wouldn't be found anywhere around Yankee stadium. :1orglaugh

Anyway Boston was good, as were the 5 other cities we visited this week. Lots of driving, but all worth it.

Next stop on the world tour, Philadelphia, PA.

Any ideas?
