here's a good question Senor Carlin raises: what about god's divine plan that the bible claims? if he has a divine plan then why would you pray? are you so arrogant to believe that YOUR request supersedes god's divine plan? do you think you are so important that out of the billions of people and billions of prayers he is going to just toss his plan out the window just for YOU? why did he even make a plan if everyone was going to keep asking for changes in his plan? i would bet that if you decided to worship a tree or a lawn mower or a light post, your prayers to said object would be answered at the same rate they are answered when praying to god.
