Hick town? lol

Chyeah right! Reason why it is 40 minutes is from the size of the city and they have two buses for each route to keep a steady pattern of arrival/departure. Some might have more on the route depending on how far out they go.

Hick town lol you silly platypus.

What? You making fun of me huh?

So was it a bus that goes out of town or what? Because if not then 40 minutes are way too long! So I thought it must be a small hick town. :dunno:

In big cities were lots of people use the bus it must come more often.

Here in Berlin it's every 10 minutes on average!

No. There are 26 routes plus a handful of school routes. If there were more than there are for each of those routes it would be too congested. As I said it depends on the distance being covered and how far out. It covers a large area of land. The particular bus I rode on was one of the quickest to get around depending what day and time. On weekends they run every half hour or so.

It's all regulated and it works fine while at the same time not providing a lot of traffic like you would see in NYC with all those buses and taxis.

It's a great system all in all. All it comes down to is time management on your part and understanding what time to be out at the bus stop. Considering bus stops are every block or two apart you can usually run to the next one and catch up in no time if need be. If not wait about 30-40 minutes and the next one will come.

That's still...uhm...I don't know...

I guess in Berlin we have a better public trasportation system. We are about 4 million people here. If a bus would only arrive every 30 or 40 minutes there wasn't enough space for all the people waiting for it!
And still we have bus stations every block.

Like I said I can understand a 30 or 40 minute interval if the bus goes out of town or to suburbs or something. But local public transport?! No way!

That's fine for one city. This covers about 20 or so cities all at once due to the structure that is set up. Everyone doesn't have to wait on one or two buses before they can get where they need to go. They get on the appropriate bus(es) and are able to get to where they need within a half hour or so. Once again depending on how far out exactly they are going. It covers a great portion of the state I live in and to be able to do what they do in the time they do is great. Especially considering traffic isn't held up or blocked due to too many buses running around.

It works. You'd have to see it for yourself. Then again with some of the gangs that like to frequent some of them I don't know how much you'd enjoy it once you did get to experience it...
