Do you not have presidential families, ie the bushes and possibly clintons. Are they not born priviledged? of course they are. If your country has a royal family or not there are still plenty of people born to positions they do not deserve.

I say well done to him though, to say he's not in danger is a joke. The whole place is dangerous.

While of course we have people in the US born to priviledge but none of them are officially sanctioned and supported by the govt.Both the Clintons were not born to it and while Bush was he did actually have to face elections.Not that the monarchy has any real power I know like an elected leader.I just think the whole notion of royalty is an out of date thing.
But the prince I know did want to be just a regular soldier and he is to be admired for that,but not for being a prince lol.
