Have to agree with this post some what. i dont see the good luck, but the high school or less educated worker has felt the downfall the most, the college educated unemployment is around 8% compared to 12%+.

The Reagan Era Democrats have felt the punch the most with outsourcing.

As long as people want goods that are priced cheap China, Mexico, India, Brazil will have the lions share of skilled and semi skilled jobs. Those who worked in mills and factories here can forget about getting a new job in that same field.

You continue to raise the bar every month on your ignorance and complete stupidity. The only thing that creates interest in your posts is your continuing race backwards to prove how little you know about history, science, sociology, geology, criminology, genetics, anthropology and even Christianity.

Through over 16,000 posts you have yet proven the ability to string complex sentences together or produce an original cognitive thought, let alone the ability to understand macro economics.

 Most of your posts are to condemn others whom you do not agree with.
That is sad.

The fleabaggers break laws and you defend them?

Just because you do not agree with me, does not mean I am wrong. I am correct. Liberalism knows no bounds.

Just agree to disagree.

Going to war in far-off places in the name of World Freedom, is not the solution. It will put US citizens more and more in the hand of foreign hand. Feed own citizens, Give them Jobs, then, and only then, look outwards.

But, but, but... we're better off fightin' 'em over thar than over hyar! And... you're either with us or your agin us! Plus... it's our God given duty to make the world safe from Democracy... er... for Democracy. Something like that. Let me switch on Faux News and see how that goes again.

OK, I got it now. Build a bridge in Toledo and that's socialism and communism. But build a bridge (eight times!) in Baghdad and that's bringing the highway of freedom to the downtrodden and oppressed. See, inside every one of those Godless Arab Muslims, there's a good Christian American just trying to get out. Sometimes the only way to release the good soul is by killing the evil host. We're doing good work over there. And the trillion dollars that we've spent on our Middle East Nation Building Crusade is well worth it! Better there than here - I know that's true!

As far as how to fix the problems in America... man, all you gotta do is deregulate and cut taxes! Want to decrease unemployment? Deregulate and cut taxes. Want to fix the deficit? Deregulate and cut taxes. Want to bring down gas prices? Deregulate and cut taxes. Need a cure for the common cold? Have you tried deregulating and cutting taxes??? :dunno: If you darn lefties and libs would just do it, you'd see that it works like a charm.

Actually the majority of my posts involve self depreciating humor because all the teams I root for suck.

Rey, prior to this, all the posts you made on the board made sense to me. But this time I failed to understand, whether you are making fun of me or you really have something to say against my partly quoted post. So I'm providing my reply with a post which I made earlier.
One thing, I'm not from US. But I will be affected if US economy goes to hell in a hand basket. (I'm quoting myself here.) Idiotically, the leaders of our country has lots of dollars instead of gold, on which they should have depended upon for the reserve.
Now back to my reply and a quote that was made by an US economy expert on world economy. (Highlight mine.)

Oh they will wake up.. but not until they finally realize that life is like a board game.. In other words, once they take that leap and remain at their current job, or get a better education and purchase something of value and feel like they have something, then and only then will they switch costumes from Anti-Establishment Asswipe, to Capitalist Investment Person.

What happens if a country goes bankrupt?

What happens when a nation goes bankrupt

It’s a testament to the absurdity of our failed financial system when the highly indebted rich countries of the world have to go to China, a nation of peasants, for a bailout.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum this morning, Chinese premier Wen Jiabao delivered a stern message: there is a limit to Chinese generosity, and it will come at a price.

The Chinese will undoubtedly use any further investment in European bonds as leverage to influence western politicians. They already bought Tim Geithner. The US government refuses to label China a ‘currency manipulator’. Similarly, European politicians will now be forced to acknowledge China as a ‘market economy’.

You should practice what you preach. There are countless posts that you have made to which this would have been a perfectly legitimate response. In fact, I don't believe I have ever seen a post from you where you have "agreed to disagree" with someone.

Look in the mirror, Willie.

Looking in the mirror is too scary for someone like Willie. He may see something he doesn't like.

Wow, so many people think that what the american business/political situation has come to is an alright conclusion.

Sorry about that. One thing I sometimes forget is that humor or (extreme) sarcasm doesn't always translate well on the internet. I wasn't making fun of you at all. The things I posted are things you'd hear, or that I've heard, from (Fox News) conservatives. I am very MUCH against spending money on nation building and "wars of convenience" (for lack of a better term). We've now spent OVER a trillion dollars on our Middle East adventures. There is one bridge in Iraq that American taxpayers have rebuilt eight times (by the last count I saw). We blew it up initially and after the major battles were over, we rebuilt it. Then the insurgents blew it up and we rebuilt it. Then they blew it up again... and we rebuilt it again. I used to have to drive a lot to get to various facilities in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. The roads in those states are horrible! But if you propose a bill to fix them, you'll be called a socialist/communist/tax & spend liberal or whatever by some slack-jawed goof, who would die without his/her daily download from Fox News. But that same person will go on & on about how "wonderful" it is that we brought democracy and freedom to the Iraqi people. Cost be damned, it is our God given duty, in their eyes. And that pisses me off more than I can express here.

I personally believe in making government more efficient. Maybe liberals want to make it bigger - I don't know. And maybe conservatives just want to make it smaller. But in what I do for a living, you MUST make something more efficient before you even start discussing its size. No one, not one politician that I know of, has even brought that up. If something is broken (which I believe our system is), its size is a secondary issue, IMO.

But anyway, sorry for the misunderstanding. We are actually in agreement. I just went off on a sarcasm bender... which wasn't directed at you at all. I just used your post as a springboard to jump into my tirade and portray the character "Jimmy Joe Bob: Fox News Fan Forever". :D

When you are backed into a corner, when someone has proved you wrong, when you are absolutely without other recourse, you "admonish" people by telling them to agree to disagree.

That's not what you're preaching. I hope you listen to the many posts that have been made to you in the last couple of weeks.

Thanks Rey, I'm pissed off with our corrupt political and Government system too. For your knowledge, my country has black money deposit in Swiss Bank to the tune of 1.4 trillion dollar. It's more than all the black money deposit of all other countries added together.

The average wage has gone down because the pool of skilled workers in the global economy has risen. That's economics.

China keeps manufacturing jobs by devaluating their currency.

If people are protesting this good luck it won't change the situation.

True dat but it has more to do with greed and fraud at the corporate level. :brick:

I have to admit that I'm not familiar with this issue. Are we talking about central bank reserves here? I mean, do you have a system like our Federal Reserve, and that central bank has stashed away this money in Switzerland?

Quite often, you and I don't agree. But here we do. Yes, with a larger pool of supply (skilled workers, in this case), it pressures wages downward. But if you look at Germany and Switzerland, realizing that skilled workers still receive healthy wages there and the economies are healthier than ours, it makes one wonder what we've done wrong. In fact, skilled workers in many trades (CNC/machine technology, for instance) are not hurting and there is actually a demand for their services. More Americans need to make sure they're preparing for the future (really present) economy. The days of a U.S. high school grad getting a job making $20/hour assembling widgets are behind us. Pleasant or unpleasant, right or wrong, that's reality. And younger people need to face it and deal with it.

And yes, China has rigged the game by currency manipulation, as well as violating trade agreements. IMO, they should have NEVER been given Fast Track into the WTO. And once they were, Bush (and Obama) should have watched them like a hawk. Expecting them not to cheat was like expecting a long-time child molester not to re-offend. This... this... THIS is why I have opposed these free trade agreements since the early 90's. The U.S. too often plays the part of the sucker. Free trade only benefits BOTH parties when it's free, FAIR tade. And it seldom is. This is why I'm as hard as I am on groups like the Club for Growth. To me, they are anti-American, only "pro $ in pocket". If a guy has a G5 jet and a home on Lake Geneva, what does he care what America's future is? His future is set. We need to stop listening to these people and stop letting them set policies that only benefit them! And yeah, in what I do, I've outsourced my share of domestic business too. But I've ALWAYS done all I could to keep the business right here in the U.S. I've also re-sourced business from Europe, Asia and South America when I could make an economic case for it. Aside from the shell games the Chinese play, neither Bush nor Obama's trade policies have made that particularly easy.

You're serious? My observations have been that you typically post something really compelling and thought-provoking like "I am correct ". Of course, in all fairness, since I don't bother to read all of your posts (read one and you've pretty much read 'em all anyway), I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
