Yeah also my dad fucked a couple of guys behind my mom's shoulders, but i can assure you that the fact that my mom got pissed at him and pretended to be a Saint while she was waiting with anxiety the postman to deliver the mail every day pissed me off much more than my dad's behavior. With this i'm done. I'll go back talking about porn and i cheer at you and your unbreakable Democratic beliefs. All the best.

You don't even know where I am from and yet you keep calling it "Democratic beliefs' and ignore all the evidence posted. Anyway, all the best to you too.

Also, if anyone is interested, here is the list of U.S. military interventions over the years. For some reason, most of them were not referred to as wars until Obama decided to interfere in Libya as part of a NATO led mission with full UN backing.

So if he has lost 35% of his consensus he has lost it from the idiotic and uninformed side of the US population? Were they uninformed idiots when they voted for Obama? Because in that case he shouldn't have won the elections, right? So who fooled these idiots? Obama when he convinced them to vote for him or Obama when he is not convincing them that he is doing a good job?

It's entirely plausible that many people who voted for him but have now soured on his presidency have done so on the basis of misinformation or stupidity. The fact that they are willing to vote for a republican is proof of that.

How constructive is to call idiots whoever disagree with you?

I didn't call anyone an idiot simply because they disagreed with me. I did so because of their shaky grip on reality and hysterical views.

So stating the fact that Dixiecrats were CONSERVATIVE DEMOCRATS who changed sides after CRA is revisionism? How do these Conservative Democrats represent the Left for me to defend them? These facts are easily verifiable if you do a cursory google search.

Yep.
The democrats who opposed the CRA were all staunch conservatives who, in reaction to Johnson signing the acts, fled en masse to the Republican party, where their philosophical descendants reside to this very day.

It's remarkable how unlearned many people (mostly conservatives) are about this seminal and monumental shift in our political landscape :dunno:

But then many of those people get their "history" from right wing blogs and viral emails that list the many trespasses of the democratic party prior to the 1970s.....while failing to note that those trespasses were all committed by conservatives.

lol protesting wall street and their "Greed"

The American dream is built on greed. Capitalism is built on greed.

Now your protesting the same people that built this country's economy with greed and are tearing it down with greed

lol

My advice to the wall street protestors is get a life, or a job, whichever comes first, and you wont be wasting your time or taxpayer dollars to pay police to watch yo

If anyone donates money to them or watches thier internet stream...you should seriously rethink your life

Well, if the U.S has been at war with Libya, I guess we just won another one. Not one American soldier lost (AFAIK) and we've only contributed as much to NATO as we'd spend in Iraq in a week. Not bad, Big Daddy O... not bad. :hatsoff: :D

Since the tighty righties want to claim that we're "at war" with Libya, if I was the O-Man, I would get one of those giant "Mission Accomplished" banners and fly that bitch for a week or so. In fact, I hear there's one still in storage at the Pentagon... only used once. ;)

Yeah, you've just contributed to kill a few thousand locals, but i guess that that's acceptable for oBama and his supporters. Or as you say: not bad at all. It must have been the same thing that oSama thought when he killed 1000's of Americans in NYC losing just a bunch of kamikazes. GET A GRIP GUYS! Read, study, think before expelling air from your mouths because the view of things of some of you is quite frankly disturbing and appalling.

You claim that you read, think and study. That's great. So I'd expect you to know the reality of human history. The one constant that has always been with us is that we fight. We go to war, for good and bad reasons. That doesn't make it right, but that is reality... the way that it is.

Apparently you missed my sarcasm in making that post... which was a take-off on your claim that we were at war with the nation of Libya - which we are not! So I'll spell it out for you. Maybe you haven't seen any of my other posts on these types of topics, but I am AGAINST U.S. military intervention in most all cases that don't DIRECTLY involve the United States. I am against nation building in almost any and all cases. I despise neocons for that very reason. And as a quasi-student of the Latin Classics, I am in favor of the concept of "total war". Here is my view in a nutshell, Sabrina. If your country attacks or supports an attack on my country, I would be in favor of my nation reducing your entire nation to rubble: every man, woman and child... every pig, chicken and cow. There's no ass whipping like a complete and total ass whipping to help a nation that wants war to get its mind right. Just as Gaius Julius Caesar did in Gaul and just as William Tecumseh Sherman did throughout the American rebel south, once you leave a wake of total destruction behind you, trouble makers always get the message. And dead trouble makers never cause another problem. I admit, that is a VERY ugly and brutal way to conduct war. But history proves that it is effective and efficient. And my life and work revolve around doing that which is effective and efficient. But now, if your nation just happens to be headed by someone that has interests counter to ours, and the population rebels against that person, I would be against a U.S. invasion (or declaring war ;)). I don't really see it as our business. Maybe if we can throw a bone the rebels' way (as we did here) and get them over the hump, as long as they're prepared to do the actual "boots on the ground" fighting, that doesn't wind me up quite as much. Though the risk is in picking sides when you're not prepared to go in and deliver a sword blow yourself. But I'm still against any nation building $ being used after the fact... because I don't pay taxes so that people in foreign countries can have democracy, freedom, new roads, fast trains, apple pie or anything else!

Left to me, Japan, Korea, Israel, Egypt and most every other beggar nation on earth would have to find a way to fund their own military security... and the American taxpayer would be OFF the hook immediately. And if the Japanese and Koreans would refuse to pay us for our soldiers protecting them, my best advice to them would be to learn to speak Chinese... QUICKLY!

Here is what pisses me off, I got into a house I should have never been allowed to buy. I barely made anything and was given a big mortgage with nothing down. I had a hell of a PMI payment of $250 a month extra on my house payment. PMI is principal mortgage insurance. It helps off set the bank incase I default on my mortgage. I have never missed a payment and never faulted on my mortgage, yet a ton of people did on thiers. Were they not paying a PMI? A ton of rich people have declared bankruptcy and all the banks needed bailed out by us the tax payer. Where the fuck did all this PMI money go too? Why wasnt it used to pay off the houses that were foreclosed? If they were why am I not seeing any of that return when they sell the house off at a lower price? Why am I not compensated for not only supplying my tax money but also paying extra charges to safe gaurd against this.

Now these CEO's of banks got thier 15 million a year bonus and what not, but do you think I had my PMI reduced or cancelled because I bailed them out and havent missed a single fucking payment?

Like I said, I thought that your question was a good one. And so happens, this popped up on Yahoo a bit ago. I'm guessing some of the money went up Stevie Smith's nose, probably some more for hookers and booze and the last little bit might have been used to pay off a foreclosed mortgage or three. But that's purely speculation on my part. But in any case, they're going to be paying claims at 50%... at best!

Mortgage insurer subsidiary seized by regulators
Regulators seize PMI Group mortgage insurance subsidiary

PHOENIX (AP) -- Insurance regulators in Arizona have seized the main subsidiary of private mortgage insurer PMI Group Inc., which will begin paying claims at just 50 percent.

The seizure follows heavy losses at PMI since the housing market bubble burst. Two months ago, state regulators ordered the Arizona-based subsidiary, PMI Mortgage Insurance Co., to stop selling new policies after it came under scrutiny because it didn't have enough money on hand to meet the requirements of regulations in that state.

PMI's CEO, L. Stephen Smith, told analysts in early August that that company has seen a sharp rise in the number of previously denied claims that banks appealed and were able to get reinstated by producing better documents to back up them up.

Smith said then that his company was working with a financial adviser to search for ways to raise capital.
