They are "haters."

Let's go up to their mansions and whine because deep inside we're jealous.

They should get jobs! Wait... they are selling on eBay.

Occupy = Profits

So now that tea party is FOR bailouts? Funny, I recall a few years ago how evil bailouts were and we should just let them fail. Now that liberals are talking the very same thing...It's off a suddenly a different tune for the baggies.

What do bailouts have to do with picketing in front of some guys house because you're jealous you don't have what he has.

What do bailouts have to do with picketing in front of some guys house because you're jealous you don't have what he has.
He purposely makes it difficult for you or anybody else to have what he has, and continually brainwashes the masses into believing they too can someday be rich if they just work hard and stay in school.

Speaking of taxes, anybody care to tell me the tax rates in the 1950's and 1960's in this country? Ya know, the 1950's, right? The "good ole days" in the minds of conservatives.

You know, I think this (major) DUMBASS, may actually have a point.

"Pay MY tuition". One thing I've noticed over the years. Gas prices go up and here come the pitchforks and torches with the angry mob wanting to hang those evil big oil executives who made gas more expensive. People loose their homes and here come the pitchforks and torches with the angry mob wanting to hang those evil bankers who took away people's homes. The cost of healthcare goes up and here come the pitchforks and torches with the angry mob wanting to hang those evil big pharma executives and doctors who made healthcare more expensive. College costs go up and....... and...... where's the pitchforks? where's the torches? No angry mob wanting to hang those evil big college board members who made college too expensive? I mean, has the media ever reported people protesting them? Have they ever been called before congress to testify? No? I wonder why?

Is it because a college education is worth it? That's debatable. The thing you got to think carefully is, how is your major going to help you make a good living? If you choose some useless major don't expect to bring in the big bucks as those who chose a good major. But somethings a lack of college education doesn't mean you won't be successful in life and even going to Harvard is no guarantee that you won't be a miserable failure (and make people worse off) after you graduate.

Here's the thing...yes, the protesters are marching uptown to protest at the millionairs doorsteps. However, it's pretty clear when you start reading the more independant news sources and listening to the protesters via live streams etc, they really are an incoherant bunch at the moment.

Wall Street and the millionairs are only part of it. They're pissed off about the state of everything right now from the state of the housing market to the fact that the banks have yet again raised fees in response to legislation that the government passed to make up for lost revenue. There's no single one issue...they're just mad as hell.

Unfortunately, I think it's going to start turning ugly pretty quickly and it doesn't make me happy to say this...but I think it has to get ugly to remind politicians exactly WHO they work for and that they HAVE to follow the US constitution.

I agree Petra. I saw a few of them being interviewed and they can't give a clear answer on what their goal is.

They need to blame Obama and the Democrats for the Durbin Amendment. I'm pissed that my idiot president thinks he has to pass laws to "protect" us citizens from everything.

I'm not interested in getting into a political pissing contest with strangers on the internet(s), but I am absolutely baffled that anyone can be "right-wing" and openly post on a porn message board. The contradiction and hypocrisy is astounding.

Did I just see scripture quoted on here?!? JESUS CHRIST!

Even the Devil can quote scripture when it suits his purpose.

 Congrats.

Yet you seem to imply that people have a gripe with the financial elite for no particular reason other the fact that they're wealthy. They are hoarding money, the money that we gave them so that they can maintain their status while continuing to manipulate the system and continue to make further profit at everyone else's expense. But whatever, maybe you're right and they're all just haters.

They aren't hoarding money. They earned the money, it is THEIRS. I'm tired of people bitching about the rich. You can become rich too with hard work, no one is denying any of them the chance. If you don't like a product they have, then don't buy or use it.

There was once a time when people had a good work ethic. They didn't expect the government to take care of them. It's not the riches job to take care of any of us. It's our job to take care of ourselves. :2 cents:

So if you're not rich, you must be lazy!

This is possibly the most ill-informed statement I've ever seen posted on here. It is clear evidence of the successful brainwashing campaign the wealthy has been perpetuating from the beginning.

You can't honestly believe everyone can become rich and successful if they just work hard enough, can you? You don't really believe everybody is in the position they're in based solely on their own actions, do you? If you do, let me make it really, really simple for ya...can you explain Paris Hilton?

Karl Marx. For years your words have been misused and misquoted. For shame. As we see today, on a porn forum, and without evidence of direct religious involvement, the "opium of the people" is indeed alive and well.

Parasites who work in the financial sector didn't earn anything, nor do they embody any concept of a good work ethic.

Blame the wealthy for everything. That's so easy to do.

Bill Gates worked hard, Warren Buffet worked hard, Steve Jobs worked hard, Sam Walton worked hard, etc. Most wealthy people did not come from money, they had an idea and worked hard to become successful. Blaming them for becoming successful and wealthy is ridiculous.

In her own right Paris Hilton has to work hard to keep her name out there. She is smart, she turned her name into a brand. Just because you don't like that doesn't mean she did anything wrong.

Rey C.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
The Protestant work ethic sounds nice. But let's be honest (and realistic): all hard work will get you is tired. All of the people that Jane mentioned did work hard. But more than anything else, what separated them from all the others, who tried similar endeavors, is that they worked SMART! And sure, there might be an element of luck in there too (like Trust Fund Babies born into the Lucky Sperm Club)... being in the right place at the right time and what not. But if all you have to bring to the table is a willingness to work hard, at best, you might wind up slightly above average. Jimmy the janitor works hard. But for his 70 hours a week, all he's going to get is 30 hours at time and a half. Until ol' Jimmy uses his bean and thinks of a way to leverage a good idea into something huge, he's never going to get (truly) rich... unless he buys that winning lottery ticket. He can dream and fantasize all he wants, but that's the way it will play out.

But with all that said, I agree that a lot of people don't take advantage of the opportunities that are in front of them. Ignorance, fear, laziness, poor choices, procrastination, etc. all stand in the way of people making it to the big time. And sure, there are jealous and envious people in this world. But one thing that pisses off some of these protestors (and should piss off anyone with a brain): special interests are all but fully in control of this country now - the leadership of the left, right and even the TEA Party are pawns at best, co-conspirators at worst. And these bosses and their talking heads don't care about the future of this republic, no matter what lies they tell. As long as they can find a way to butter their own bread, the future of this nation matters not one bit to them. And that's a damn shame. :2 cents:

Blame the wealthy for everything. That's so easy to do.

So is blaming the poor and middle class!
There are a lot of middle class families that worked hard all their lives that lost their jobs and everything because of the economy and no fault of their own. Not everybody is poor and lazy living off the government like you and the right imply all the time!

Sam Walton is the best example out of those choices.

I like the bit where the worm made a thread lambasting Steve Jobs for relying on slave labor to create his fortune.

Then people hold Jobs up as an example of what hard work can get you. That's priceless.

Slave labor is much different than working for yourself.

I did not write the article in the other thread.

Also, I never endorsed Jobs for anything.
