Ace Bandage

The one and only.
Jesus fucking Christ this sucks. Good thing I still have game 7 of the '11 finals on my DVR in case I start having serious withdrawal.

I see your game 7 from 2011 and raise you game 6 from 2010 and the banner raising ceremony from the first home game in 2011.

The NBA, Storage Wars, Pawn Stars, Teen Mom, and American Pickers are poor substitutes for the NHL. I want some goddamn hockey!

Very angry face.

They've actually been showing quite a lot of college hockey here. It's a good watch. I'm pretty disgusted with the whole NHL shit.

Cornell and Michigan was televised from Madison Square Garden about three weeks ago. Cornell beat them soundly.

By the way... there are other things that might capture your interest.

Indeed, I've been following my national #3 Gophs with interest. (I don't get Husky games where I'm at so that sucks, but Gophs are a close second to my Huskies) Gophs have a number of guys that are going to the NHL - or are already NHL-ready - so it's not bad at all.

This is so embarrassing.
Give the Stanley Cup 2013 to another competition/league!

Hockey does not need another 2004–05-NHL-Season!

During the lockout, a movement arose to free the Stanley Cup from the NHL. By the original deed of Lord Stanley, the cup was a challenge cup open to the best amateur hockey team in Canada. Only since 1926 has it been exclusively competed for by NHL teams, and with the 2004–05 NHL season canceled, the group felt that the NHL had forfeited its right to award the Cup for the year. On February 7, 2006, a settlement was reached in which the trophy could be awarded to non-NHL teams should the league not operate for a season, although the NHL by that point was playing again. (Wikipedia)

It's in certain teams best interests to have no.season. I think Toronto, New York and Edmonton all have the highest chance for the first pick due to their lack of playoff appearances.

I agree. Down here in Houston we are lucky enough to have an AHL team (the Houston Aeros) that I have followed as a supplementary devotion to my #1 team, the St. Louis Blues, for many years. The Aeros were originally an old IHL team (won 2 Turner Cups!) and were absorbed by the AHL several years ago. My son and I go to almost every home game. It's a terrific brand of hockey, just a notch below NHL talent (like AAA baseball) and, considering the lockout, we are lucky enough to have some NHL-caliber talent on the roster (forwards Mikael Granlund and Jason Zucker as well as goaltender Matt Hackett). I love hockey and the lockout is a disaster for a league and a sport that cannot afford to go through it without suffering irreparable damage. Bettman and his minions are idiots.

The Wild's prospects. The Wild's team. My Wild board comrades are going crazy over all these guys and a number more. They will all be studs when they reach the NHL. In fact they would likely (possibly) all be here right now playing for us if not for the stoppage. Enjoy them while you can; this stoppage ends and I'll be watching them live here at the X.

Yep. Granlund's incredible skill as a puck-handler and playmaker has drawn comparisons to Saku Koivu as I'm sure you are aware. Zucker is just a non-stop hustler. Charlie Coyle, Zack Phillips, Jonas Brodin (when he comes back from his injury), Johan Larsson, Brian Connelly....all these young kids have really made for an exciting brand of hockey here in Houston this year. Justin Fontaine, Kris Foucault, David McIntyre and Chad Rau are back from last year's club in addition to Hackett. I guess Hackett would definitely be up with the big club this year with Josh Harding's unfortunate issues going on. I don't think there's much chance you'll be seeing anyone but the T-Wolves at the X this winter I am afraid so I sure will be enjoying them as long as I can. I'd say your hockey future is bright in Minneapolis once these idiots wake up and give the NHL back to its fans.

St. Paul. Don't get it twisted. :suspicious:

BTW, Dumba might make the jump right from Juniors to the Wild, but he might be playing for the Aeros though too next year. He is going to be an All Star.

We're one one side of the Mississippi, they're on the other. We get shitted on far too much to let that shit slide. :nono:

About MD:

WHL Red Deer Rebels. Our number one pick in '12. Goal scoring, BIG hitting defenseman with tremendous ceiling:

Damn....you St. Paulites are a sensitive lot! Sorta like people from Ft. Worth. :1orglaugh

Now I know how to get your goat anytime I need to. ;)

Looks like a stud D-man. We'll take good care of him and show him some serious Texas hospitality when he gets here.

Meh, sometimes yes, sometimes no. It's more of we are actually the hockey capital of the United States (fact) and while the Wolves, Queens and Twins are all located on the other side of the river, the Wild reside here. But truth be told, you want nightlife, bottom line is Minneapolis is where it is at, period (although St. Paul does have more colleges per capita than every other city in America save for one). We like to more or less keep it quiet over here any way.

Very good possibility with his skill set he is jumping right over here to the Wild's lineup. He is that good.

So the union is disbanding/dissolving/something, I wonder why the NHL just doesn't cancel the season right now.

It really is like a big "fuck you" to the fans, with the way they keep stringing it along like this, canceling just a few weeks at a time.

What a bunch of dumbfucks. Fuck 'em. I hope they do cancel the fucking season. I'm an AHL guy all the way now. I feel for the players but I WANT MY HOCKEY.
