Empty seats in Washington. How weird.

It's hard to believe that Montreal is dead last in the East, and Winnipeg is leading their division, currently guaranteeing them a spot in the playoffs. Damn, who would have expected that?

The Jets are just playing better hockey, amazing what a move to Winnipeg can do. I remember going to a Thrashers game when I went to Atlanta, and that place was barren.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Slowest trade deadline ever.

The big dud of 2012... The Red Wings didn't do shit!!! neither did any of Detroit's biggest roadblocks sort of speak. Ken Holland said everybody was asking for too much and blah, blah, blah.. the preds made a few complimentary moves but nothing that puts them over the Red Wings IMO... I think it comes down to the Red Wings and Nucks in the WCF's.... and they play pretty evenly, it will come down too Home ice advantage, who's hotter? Howard or Lou... and who's special teams wins out, other then that there pretty evenly matched IMO... Sharks, Preds, Blackhawks, Kings will all probably fall short of beating the Wings and Canucks. :2 cents:

P.s. Personally I hope the Red Wings lose in the 1st round and Ken Holland gets fired!!!! Yeah you read that correctly!! I said it, I am so sick of the Red Wings getting pushed around every year!!! but if your a real hockey fan and you know a good team when you see it, everybody knows that the Red Wings probably won't lose in the 1st round unless we get hit hard with the injury bug. If you can't tell I hate the Red Wings GM Ken (Euro wuss, puss hockey) Holland. ERRR!!:cussing:

Bruins picked up Rolston, Mottau and Zanon. I definitely like all three players, and it certainly helps to address what we needed, but it's really not very exciting. Chiarelli usually makes small, smart moves, and these are certainly in that category, but god does it make for a boring deadline.

I wonder what the Jackets hope to get by holding onto Nash till the offseason...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Ken Holland is the man. I don't trust anybody else to take control of this team.

Deadline trades often turn out to be overpriced, unless you're getting a role player. Detroit has the cap to take on all stars, and I think that's what they'll do in the offseason. After they win the cup. Expect one of those high talent guys in Washington in red and white next year.

Also, it looks like you're counting out the Blues. They're legit. If they had Hitchcock the entire season, I think they'd be 7-8 points ahead of Detroit and Vancouver. They could still finish ahead and push us down to 4th. We don't want that.

Especially if it means you guys draw the Predators in the first round. As far as I'm concerned the Canucks, Wings, Blues and Preds are the contenders in the West. That team is scary good.

I see what your saying and yes I did forget the blues!! when I wrote that I was saying to myself there's a team I am missing / forgetting about, but I was too disappointed that the Wings didn't get ANYBODY that could be a help come playoff time, I mean in the forward spot, Knuble was available, and some others that could have been insurance / depth guys, & yeah I am kind of pissed that we didn't get Ott. lol.. but I did look past picking up Quincey a few days ago, that was a HUGE pickup!! Considering Quincey is only 26 plays physical, he's good @ clearing the front of the net, is great on the PP, reliable, has speed and he chews up tons of minutes, with Erickson out a month it turns out to be a really good move in retrospect. The trade analysts even said Detroit did great just by picking up a young stud D-Man in Quincey.

Wow that trade deadline was quite boring, Nashville is the only team that benefits from it. Bruins get Rolston back, they have a knack for picking up guys in their late 30's like they did with Recchi. Also is it me but they also send medicore players to Minnesota, this time it was Kampher and they sent them Chuck Kobsew a year ago.

Did anybody waste their day watching trade deadline analysis? It was pathetic and hilarious to watch these 'experts' try and break down minor AHL trades like Aullie for Ashton. At one point they started talking about Olympic rosters just to waste time since none of their expected blockbusters went through.

Holland might be one of the best general managers in the history of the sport of hockey if not any sport. I don't think I would want to throw him out just yet.
