well, we just got Ellis and Yzerman is hoping that will help Smith play to his potential this season so i doubt it. i'd love it, but i doubt it.

True. I think Smith would benefit from being sent down to the AHL more than sharing the number-one spot with Ellis and struggling again. If Smith can't play to his potential this year then it is really going to hurt the potential Tampa has created in the past couple of weeks. :2 cents:

Stevie yzerman did a great job today resinging st. louis and then signing ellis. The only thing that bothered me was letting Kurtis Foster go to the oilers.
i think everybody likes Foster. i sure as hell did. he just wasn't good enough in the defensive game.

Update : Nothing is confirmed , but it looks like it's going to be 7.7 million total for the 2 years. Not bad , it's a good price for a dependable defenseman. he's going to be much better than Meszaros at a lower price. Now it's confirmed.
