There is currently major concerns going round in Britain about MySpace, Facebook and sites like them. This is because of they are been used for identity theft. They are getting personal details and such clues from these pages and using them to get credit cards and such in the persons name. Then running up massive debts on the cards and such. One lady interview told of how the con men ran up over £50,000 in debt in her name.
So one of the questions now been asked is should these type of sites be regulated. Also make them limit the amount of personal details a person can put on such sites. Even banning the messages sections on them.
To me this has always been one of the reasons I don't use such sites. Because even if you limit the amount of personal details you put on about yourself. Family and friends always seem to leave them in their messages and such. Unaware and in a innocent way not knowing what can happen in the long run.
