Mary Murphy, I can't stand her. I've only seen her on commercials.

I could go on. :hatsoff:

Bill Gates, George Clooney, Al Gore, Barak Obama, Bush and his entire family.

actually the president gets paid a pretty low sum of money for his job considering the job he performs and the responsibility he has.

Now congress haha over paid for sure and nobody should be able to vote themselves a raise out of OUR tax money when they do shitty job in the first place.

TEACHERS!?

they get a low salary and they put up with all the bullshit from kids. are you serious?:1orglaugh:rolleyes::confused:

Ha I wish I got paid what teachers get paid. Then maybe I could pay all my bills every month.

Anyone in Congress, and pretty much anyone who is a lawyer. No value added!

om3ga

It's good to be the king...
David "Goldenballs" Beckham...

(but since his GODAWFUL missus is on the other side of the Atlantic, you're welcome to them)

The thing abvout lawyers is that if people wouldn't hire them, the wouldn't get paid. Lawyers are paisd very much beause people are ok to pay them that much.

Why they would lower their prices if they have lots of customers ?

The paparazzi. Has anyone ever seen that TMZ show? That is their job. Talk about celebrities. Fuck off. I don't care how much they get paid. Whatever it is, it's too much.

I understand why sports starts get paid so much, but I think they should get paid by how they perform. In the NFL, NBA, and MLB some players get paid hundreds of thousands or low millions to sit on a bench. Some college stars are given multi-million dollar contracts before they're even in the league. Doesn't make sense to get paid for doing nothing. Now the lebrons and Kobe's, fine, they make a ton, but at least they are performing.

Honestly though I don't even think those superstars should be paid that much, it should be spread throughout the team more evenly. Also a championship team should make more. The salary would be the same except instead of 20 million going to Kobe the entire team would get an equal amount, and the more they win the more they make as a team. It would promote team instead of personal agendas, and it would help the viewers by ensuring them that the players are out there to win.

I'm not saying sports starts don't try, heck when I play a video game I want to win and I try to win and I get mad when I don't win, so I'm sure they're the same way while playing. I just have a hard time taking them serious when they're making so much money because in the end as they're walking off the court with their "L" in the NBA finals they couldn't feel too bad about themselves having just made 20 million that year plus endorsements. In the end they're not fighting for anything.

Why should a Kwame Brown get paid as much as a Lebron James?

All contracts should be incentive based.

No, fuck sport money. God damn it, I exert as much effort and give as much pleasure when I'm munching cunt as those guys do when they throw and catch a ball, where's my millions at?

Now all you need is for millions to want to pay to watch you do it. It's a free market system.

They get paid so much money because of the amount of time they put in to become a superstar or a role player so they get paid accordingly as to who is the best player. Since the best player is bringing in money for the team and as well as the city isnt it fair to say that if you are the best and in the spotlight 24/7 that you get paid the most money?

Every sport your away from your home, wife, kids. In every sport long plane rides over night, hours of practice and training every day. Injuries they go through.

also the amount of time in little league, high school, and college you put your time in to become better. They never got paaid then either.

NFL- all the training and lifting, the studying, practice, in august heat training camp twice a day. Your life is at risk not only when you have the pads on but also later in life when you cant walk after you retire.

NBA-Games in one city one night then travel over night to play again the next day in another city.

MLB- 13 games every 2 weeks, one day off every two weeks and the amount of time you are on the road.

No one could win a arguement saying that athletes are over paid because it is a stupid thing to say.

What about the coaches and side staff, or band roadies, or trolly dollies, or all those other jobs that leave you away from you family for weeks on end?
What about all the years training to become a teacher or an electrician or a plumber?
What about the people who risk their lives as firefighers or cops?
What about the ill-health directly related to jobs like mining or deep-sea fishing or pre-smoking ban bartenders?
None of those people get paid millions a year, and they deserve it a lot more than a guy hitting a ball with a stick. Most of those jobs are vital to society, Carlos Teves and Barry Bonds are not. There is no way sportsmen are not overpaid.
As for the 'they rake in millions, they should see some of that' argument, what about every Shell, Apple, Microsoft, Armani, etc, etc, employee who helps rake in those millions? Joe McGuy out on an oil rig isn't getting paid millions for manning that thing, but he's pumping out a ton more money than the Premiership is.
I don't disrespect athlethes - I love the Sam McGuire cup and I'll gladly watch a game of hurling - but I have no respect for the money they make.

ok thats all true but being a coach is alot different then an athlete.

people use athletes as entertainment so thats why they get paid that much just like actors.

electricians dont train like a athlete though that is stretching it.

I'd say the amount of time to learn how to not frazzle your nuts off with the millions of electrical appliances we have today is definately a long-haul program.

And don't get me started on actors. 30, 40, 50 million a picture? I can buy most of my home county with that money, and still have enough change left over to make a better film than most of them do!
