Mixed Martial Arts

I would have expected Senor Cheese to have chimed in on this by now. I hope he didn't go and get himself killed or arrested while looking for a good time in Anahiem!

i really only thought that Penn was impressive in the 1st round. the ref stoppage was necessary because Hughes was starting to use his elbows and Penn would've certainly been cut up in a few seconds. Hughes was gassed as well. i didn't think it was incredibly impressive, but it was a good fight.
this fight did demonstrate to us though that Hughes is still a wrestler. of course he is skilled in much, much more than just wrestling. regardless, i think that after St. Pierre is fully recovered he will dominate and dispatch Hughes.
and Hughes' attitude aside, he is a fantastic fighter and usually one of my favorites to watch.

and BTW, Pulver is a great boxer, period. i've only seen 2 of his fights and i missed his performance this time, but he's good. check out Gomi if you want to see an amazing LW fighter.
and on that note...it seems to me that the guys that come from Miletich's camp usually have a big ego. but thats because they're all so good.

squallumz

knows petras secret: she farted.
george st pierre beat penn. imagine what will happen with hughes? dont get me wrong, it would be awesome to see penn win but hughes is a tough mother fucker. i just cant keep thinking about what happened with gsp.

Penn Vs. Hughes ll was amazing. Penn had it. Damnit! Penn will be WW champ soon enough... i now hope GSP beats Hughes for the belt.

Anyone else excited for Tito - Shamrock and UFC 64? I think Anderson Silva may pull it off.

And how good are Pete "drago" Sell and Matt Serra. They both could win. And they're friends from the same training center - Matt Serra's Jiu Jitsu.
And i was also pretty happy Gracie beat Militch. Militch and Pulver lose..... bad day for that camp. But Hughes won.

I think the LW division is going to be great. Sherk should beat Florian.

I missed last night's episode of TUF unfortunately. I was in Vegas.

How much are you paying for tickets for all of these fights Senor Cheese, and what kind of seats does the price you're paying get you? I'd like to know in case I decide to go to one of these things.

Thanks

Has anyone been watching the IFL on FSN? I never knew much about it before, but it was on last week and it was pretty good. Bas Rutten was one of the coaches. I like the team tournement they do. Its on again tonight, hopefully they show Lindland and Horn fight.

i can definitly agere with you on GSP. i think he will win, whenever they finally fight again.

anderson has a good chance, but i think rich franklin will win. either way it's going to be a great fight, and probably one of rich's toughest yet.

IFL is a great thing, from what i've read. i missed meeting the fighters at wizard world, i should have went. and i missed that Gracie vs Militech, and it was only like 2 hours from me. ahh, i need to stop being so lazy.

and ill tell you what i AM excited for, Pride in the USA: the Real deal on 10/21.
it should be good.

I cannot wait... tomorrow is Ken Vs. Tito 3.... i'm really hoping Ken stops Tito. And then i want to see Jenna Jameson cry about it. I also im happy to see the tuf3 guys fight.

1 more day.

War Shamrock!!!!

thses two main events this weekend:

i got franklin winning in the second round
and sherk winning a decision leaving the door wide open for a rematch.

also tommorow night, i pray to god shamrock wins, sad thing is that i like ortiz, but i dont want ortiz to get a title shot yet.

i cant wait for the eventual swick v. franklin
swick is my #1 fighter

I really hope Ed Herman gets his ass kicked. I can't stand that little red headed fucker.

LMAO!!!! Classic!

my new sherdog sig!!!

he is arrogant, cocky but he is a good fighter. His fight with Kendall was great.

I have not seen anything special from him whatsoever. All I saw on the show was him talking about how explosive, and exciting his ground and pound was, and I'll I've seen are boring slow paced fights from him. His fight with Kendal was alright, but it was far from great. I'd love to see them throw him to Diego Sanchez. I believe they are the same weight class, not positive though.

Oh, and what's sherdog?

**Spoilers**

That was awesome!

Ed "Short Fuse" Herman? Oh, no, no: Ed "Short Fight" Herman!!! That alone made my night seeing him tap in the first round!

The Tito/Shamrock fight was pretty shitty as it was more or less a repeat of the second fight, but at least Ken admitted that it was a good stoppage, and that he was definately "out".

The best part of the night, though was everything that went on after Ken crossed the ring after the fight was over. I heard him say "Thank you Tito" I assume for giving him this, his last fight of his career that he wanted so badly. And then to see them walking around the octagon hoding eachothers hands up in victory was very cool. I have a lot more respect for both of these men tonight that I ever have in the past.

Liddelle/Ortiz should be one hell of a card! Tito is so focused and determined on reobtaining that title, and he seems pretty unstopable when he's this motivated. It will be incredible to see.

Jenna Jameson is looking pretty crappy to me tonight. I was wondering if they'd show her tonight being that it's not pay per view, and she's a pornstar. Even if it is basic cable, sometimes they are funny about such things.

I have to agree here with my "compadre" in all counts. I guess the dream match between Liddelle and Pride Middleweight Champion, Wanderlai Silva will have to wait another year after the beating Silva took from Mirko "Crocop" Filipovic last month!

Jenna :dunno:
