oh wait you're talking about a rib roast?
take your rib roast and coat it with yellow mustard or spicy mustard if you prefer. then coat it with kosher salt and pepper.
put it in a roasting pan and then surround it with mushrooms and potatoes and some garlic cloves and a few pearl onions.
put in the oven at 475 degrees F or 246 celcius for 20 minutes.
then lower the heat to 275 F or 135 Celcius and allow about 13-15 minutes per pound for rare and 15-17 minutes per pound for medium rare. the internal temp of the roast when its done will be 120 F or 48 Celcius.
Let it stand for 20 minutes before carving it.
