I hope there is still some interest in this thread.
I just finished watching the last episode of season 3.
I've seen every episode now.
I have a few thoughts and can use some confirmation.
Question: That scenes with Jack with a beard were flash-forwards ????
Because he already knew Kate and he said "We have to get back to the island". But he inferred that his ****** was still alive, and was still a Doctor, which made no sense.
If this is true its kind of a spoiler because it tells us they will be rescued at some point.
Also, Hoffs/Drawlar is an anagram of "Flashforward", thats very observant whoever figured that out.
So was it a flash-forward or what?

maybe it was just like a "what if" with jack imaginging what it might be like if they were to leave the island at that point and his regret for decisions that he had made. As far the the stuff that was contradictory to the storyline, I assume that like all, we will get those answers in time, and that was really the point. If that had been played out straight-forward and made it obvious that it was in the future and off the island, I really don't think it would have had the same impact as it had- ending the season confusing the **** out of everyone as to what is happening.

also maybe it's a stretch, but what if jack's *** really isn't dead? After seeing locke's dead it has confirmed that people and things really do physically manifest on the island, not just in the psyche's of the survivors.

I always kinda suspected he had a lot more to do with it then was shown, given the fact that he has connections to so many characters, by far above any other secondary character on the show.

it's also to be assumed that at some point jack will find out that claire is his ******, so something has to trigger that.

Yes, they are flashforwards and it has been confirmed by the producers.

If you watched all the other seasons, it should not be too surprising that Jack's *** could be alive. He has already seen him on the island once, and jack found his casket was empty.

It isn't a spoiler, we know they will get rescued because Jack calls the helicopter at the end of season 3, and Desmond also says they will get rescued.

I agree I suspect Jacks ****** is Alive, although jack did Identify his body at the morgue. But yes he has too many connections to be dead, probably.
I suppose they will be rescued because that guy on the other end of satellite phone said hell yes we can find your location.
However!!!! as we know Penelope knows nothing about who the hell Naomi is or about the rescue boat,as Naomi said.
And I think Locke had more reasons to actually **** Naomi than only because he doesn't want to leave.He knows something else. I mean ******* her was extreme. Plus Ben said she's not who she said she is( But Ben does lie at times).
I don't know if Charlie is dead, perhaps Desi will rescue him somehow.
And why didn't the others **** Jin, Sayid and Bernard?
The casket did look small in the flash-forward, I don't even know what thats about.
But I'm still confused about that flash-forward. Perhaps it was one of Desmond visions,
Oh well, gotta just wait.

The season ender was classic.

There are still alot of questions to be answered, the producers did a good job wrapping things up to keep you hooked on the show for Season 4.

I still think the issue of time comes into all this. mainly because of the 2 skeletons that were in the hatch the tailies found. I believe those skeletons are Jack and Kate trying to communicate with the castaways with that film and bible that Eko had.

I think it seems pretty obvious that they won't be getting off the island next season. there's no way that they can get off the island until at least halfway through season seven.

I just realized something. As locke and ben were about to enter the place where jacob was, locke bent down and picked up some dirt or something and smelled and tasted it. Ben then gave him the bums rush.
That could be important. its gotta mean something.
I think after locke saw walt he got out of the ditch, and spoke to jacob, thats why he ****** naomi and almost ****** jack.
And whats the deal with richard the other not aging?

well, a recent thread about some Lost rumor, inspired me to ressurect this bad boy.

I haven't really heard dick about next season. Ok, so that's a lie. I heard a few things and I'm now going to tantalize you with them.

I read in the TV guide that Micheal is going to be returning to the show next season, although they didn't specify whether that means we will see him in flashbacks, or he will actually make an appearance on the island in physical or phantom form.

I heard from a guy that says he heard it from JJ (If you can believe him. I don't take anything as canon that hasn't been seen on the actual show, not even the words of the producers, those lying sadistic bastards.) that Locke IS NOT Jacob and that Jacob is a character that we have seen (in full form) on the show before, but who hasn't had any speaking lines yet.

There's a teaser for season 4 (has it been ****** on the net yet? anyone got a link) that is one of the dharma videos and most notably it shows a scene where in one moment we see a dharma bunny and then in a flash in the next moment there is an identical second bunny. This has been speculated to hint at things to come, where the subject of duplication, perhaps parallel universe, perhaps holographic images, (the producers have been said in the past to have denounced cloning.), will play a key part.

The producers also said that we will be seeing a lot more ambigous is-it-the past-present-or-future? flashbacks in the upcoming season(s).

They also said that we'd find out why Libby was in the mental hospital with Hurley in season three, and other things that never happened.

I heard one theory that maybe kate is ben's ********. I'm not sure if that was what it was. I know that it revolved around the fact that we don't know kate's ***'s name (I can't confirm that-anyone?) and that it speculates someone that has been named (by the others?) to possibly be her ***. I really don't know much about that, but I figured i'd throw it out there. maybe someone can work something out with it.

My newest whacky theory is that Mikhail is a robot.

All of this^^^^sounds interesting. I thought the Season3 finale was interesting and saved a totally boring Season 3 for the series.

I think the decision to run the show all in a row starting in Jan is a terrible idea. Having LOST on the schedule, even as a rerun, is better then half the **** on television. I wished "Traveler" was going to be the LOST lead-in..but they never picked up Traveler, which was a promising show...imo.

I am a crazy fan of LOST!! WOOO!! It is the most involving and imaginative show ever. And like most Lost fans I'm a fan of Heroes but I gotta say, season 3's finale was a big fuck you from Lindelof to Kring on his Heroes finale, wow, was that ever crappy. And IGN gave the S3 finale a perfect 10/10, I never seen IGN give anything that rating.

If they are going to debut the show in jan and run the episodes back to back, i think its a great idea. What they did last season was ok...but the 3 month wait was ******* me.

I wish ABC would begin repeating all the episodes from the pilot to now on a Sat night back to back until the Season premiere. They could pick up new fans to the show.

Of course Locke is not Jacob, When was that implied? Locke heard Jacob say Help Me.
Who Jacob is I have no clue.
Kates Bens ********?, Ben was on the Island since he was 10. And they said Kates moms name when she visited her in the hospital. Her name is Diane Janssen. She also was Sawyers waitress in one flashback, Crazy stuff.

As far as Libby we know her husband died and she gave Desmond her sailboat, after that she's in the instution, I guess she went nuts in between those times. Don't know why though.
I think that season 4 will have Naomi's "rescue party" people in it. And I don't trust them. I mean Locke ****** her without even trying to communicate first, he knows something important.

ABC just released a clip showing the Orientation film for Station 6 "Orchid Station"

I'am assuming this will be shown in the new season along with the orchid station. Look closely and you can see bits of film of other things. Once again they show that Jerry Garcia lookin' dude in there. they also got some sublimanal things in there too if look closely.

My guess is.. they were taken out just like everyone else back in 'tha day'. (At least that's the impression given..) Now the others.. they're still a mystery. That I'd like to find out about.

But seriously.. season 3 started off horribly. After Cheech showed up as Hurley's ***.. the show ramped right back up to *AWESOME*. Yay for season 4.
