Ok, Lost returns on thursday January 31 at 9 EST.
I'm more than ready.

Count me third.

Good god, it's about fucking time!

Writers strike promises a shortened season, tho. Even if they pick up EXACTLY where they left off.. that means they'll have to RUSH new storylines. Expect few twists.. few answers... half-assed flashbacks and so forth. Just sayin' what I'll expect when you leave for a strike and come back MUUUUUCH later.

I heard that they had eight episodes 'done' (don't know what stage of production that entails exactly, pretty vague description.) And I assume that they are going to air those back to back. At that point maybe they can go on a break and work things out for the rest of the season. I think that would be a better way to go then trying to rush it to play catch-up and do it half assed. They know that fans will stick with it till the end, but last seasons ratings seem to be a warning that if the show doesn't keep up on the ball then they are going to lose the prime time audience.

Unless the Writers' Strike ends this week...maybe LOST should show the 2-hr Season Opener but hold off until the Summer. They only have 8 eps in the "can" so to speak. Why show only 8 now? We've gone practically a year without Lost and...guess what..we've survived! They don't have enough new eps to merit coming on at this time.

Going forward...please Lost Powers/Idiots. Stop this stupid "All episodes in a single run" thing...it is nothing more then a crass way to protect DVD sales. Go back to a regular 52 week programming schedule with new and reruns...

1) Will Sun die from her pregnancy?
2) Why was Desmonds billionare GF paying those 2 portugese guys to search for an electromagnetical anamoly? How did she know to do this?
3) Why did The Looking Glass station immediately tap into Penny's frequency when Charlie deactivated the jamming equipment? Who was she trying to communicate with at that same moment?
4) Did she Hire Noami?
5) Why did Naomi have a picture of Desmond and Penelope?
6) Who,s on the rescue boat? Good or bad?
7) Why did Locke **** Naomi?. What does he know?
8) Whats in the casket in the flash forward?
9) Is Jacks ****** still alive?
10) Who the hell is Mrs. Hawkings and Why does she know all about Desmond? Why did the monk have a picture of her on his desk?
11) Did Desmond change the future when He went back in time? He did tell his friend everything.
12) Why does Richard ( eye liner guy) not seem to age?
13) The Black Rock?
14) Whats the deal with Jacob?
15) When exactly was " The Purge"? According to Mikeal it was in 1993, But the earliest Kelvin(Desmonds predesessor in the hatch) could have arrived was 1992. But the others stole Rousous baby in 1988,and how did Ben become "her ******"?
16) How did Ben become the leader if h is not an original other?
17) Why can Ben only see Jacob?
18) When did Kelvin arrive on the Island? Was it before or after the purge?
If he arrived before the purge, why was he spared? Was he aware of the purge? Was He was the last living member of the DHARMA Initiative on the Island?
19) Wre the others aware of Kelvins or Desmonds presence after the purge?
20) Is Kelvin dead? what happened to his body?
21) What was Henry Gale ( the balloon guy) doing on the Island? How did he die? Did he work for the same people as Naomi?
22) Where are Micheal and Walt? Will they return?
23) What is the Smoke *******?
24) How did Lockes ****** get to the island and what exactly is "the magic box" ?
25) Why is somebody still making supply drops for Dharma if they were all ******?

And many many more. I don't see how they are gonna tie all this up eventually, but I hope they do.

I still want to know why the others were ********** people in the first place, and what they did to them afterwards. All I remember was jack saying that they were fine.

also what is jacobs list for? It seems to imply that this is some prior knowledge or at least otherwise different than the crew lists compiled by ethan and the other blonde dude, that they used as the basis for ********** walt, hurley, kate and sawyer. Early on in the third season they say that Jack is on Jacob's list (this may be the first or second time that jacob is mentioned). later Juliette tells kate that she is not on the list because of her crime, and implies that neither is sawyer and various other members of the survivors apparently based on some ethics that the others have (remember they call themselves the good guys).

^ If it was Sawyer, Kate would of wanted to go to the funeral. I remember her saying "Why would I go?" or something like that. It was one of the others I recon. Most likely Ben.

Probably Ben, Maybe Rose,Micheal,Locke,Walt or maybe even Sawer. We just don't have enough info at this point.
I only know who it definately isn't.....Hurly. He would have need a much larger casket.

This show has over a zillion questions to answer, They said everything is too be explained before the end of season 5, and we are going into season 4...hopefully we get some answers this season.

Any ratings predictions for LOST this week (U.S.)? I'm going with a 21.0 rating which will be huge and I bet the biggist ratings it's ever done.

In a strange way...this is the perfect time for LOST to return. There's nothing on tv to take attention away from it...

I just hope it's good. Season 3, on balance, was the worst season...

true, but in retrospect on DVD, I found that it really really helped on the pacing of the show. even the early episodes that seemed to bug the hell out of me on air were no sweat when you got to watch them back to back and without the weekly gap.

Some intresting (if not exactly spoiler alert, as the headlines read) gossip in this weeks TV guide:

-They imply that we will be seeing Charlie again on the show. Not too big of a shock, given the history, but nice to know for those that liked him.

-One of the survivers will be leaving the Island in the first episode. They hint that it could be Sayid.

-Kate will either be hooking up with Sawyer off of the island, and/or she will have a ***. That's really the big one and about as close to a definate answer as we can expect to get.

-they also further speculate that the new comers have some ominious alterior motives, a scenario I think we all suspected from day one, but this continuing buzz just seems to add to the increased likelihood of it being true.

Geez....I really hope this isn't true at all! Sayid is THE MAN! He's probably my #2 Fav next to Sawyer. I don't trust Jack and Locke...Sayid is the voice of Reason.

I will say that his character seemed to never get beyond the death of Shannon. They had some nice "chemistry"...it's a shame Cuse/Lindelof never bothered to develop their relationship.

If anybody it will probably be Claire. Thats what Desmonds vision was.
Charlie pushes the button under the the yellow blinking light, he drowns, and Claire and Aaron get on a rescue helicopter.
My biggest question I want answered is when exactly was "the purge"?

I really don't know how I feel about people getting off the island. I never thought that it could happen until at least halfway through the last season. It seems apparent that those who do leave do so with the intention of coming back for the rest. Not having any of those charcters around for the rest of the series would be the same as ******* them off- and even though the show has always said that it would not shy away from ******* main characters and has stuck to that, there's no way that they can get rid of the islandspace.com Top Five freind's list, and not have viewers be really pissed off about it.

what, no new Lost posts?

kinda expecting a bigger cliffhanger ending for a season opener. In the past episodes have always started in unfamiliar territory leaving the viewers with no idea what was going on as the way of paving into the new season.

I can totally understand why ABC did what they did- this episode was designed to get new viewers interested and old fleeting viewers reinterested. But it kind of leaves a bad taste in fans mouths, because for the most part it wasn't anything that we didn't allready know it was going to be.

on the plus side, I think the episode really carried well by Jorge's dramatic acting job, which was a welcome refreshment.

About the only thing they explained is that the Oceanic flight is fake with fake bodies, The "rescuers" are really working for DHARMA, and we still dont know what the black cloud is.
