ya I'm either thinking it was ben or sawyer in the casket. I'm kinda torn tho, if ben was in the casket, why was he brought/in Los Angeles? and if it was sawyer, who was kate going to return home too? (she said "he'll get worried")

maybe someone else...although she had banged him and had feelings for him she maybe knew better than to stay with sawyer? :dunno:

There's a fucking stupid as fuck crap rule that says that only residents of the USA can watch the freaking shows!

now that sucks...just wait for the DVD season to come out! :1orglaugh
by then you will have to get it from somewhere. check ******* sites for the show. it's 2007 !! can't a website just have it's shows replayed for every country? thats how you lose an audience! :hatsoff:

seeing the others get fucked up totally redeemed the entire season. the only thing lame about it was the looking glass storyline. WTF is up with mikhail? why won't that dude die? and it took like five minutes for that one room to fill up with water, it would have taken an hour to flood the installation, they could have just swam out the way they came in, or even had time to grab the scuba tanks. that was stupid. But obviously that had it written to kill him off for a long time and any thing less dramatic would have been lame too.

I am a long time reader. I rarely post. But I love Lost so I'm posting now.

The reason why Charlie stayed in the room is because Desmond told him that he will drown and they will get saved. So since Charlie thinks that if he doesn't drown they won't get saved. He "sacrificed" himself so everybody(mainly Claire and the baby) will get saved. That's why he locked himself in the room.

AHA! But what about all the other times that desi saw charlie die? If he had died the very first time when he was supposed to, how would he have been around at that moment and save everyone? Desmond also believed that if he saved charlies life when they were trying to find the woman that came from the helicopter, then they wouldn't get rescued, but he did anyway. Furthermore, all indications seem to imply that it is in fact not a rescue party but a danger that is about to descend upon the island... So what does that say about desmond's visions? Really, what does it say? Which vision is the correct one, the one desmond saw or the one that we have been led to think? That's the question. ;)

Theres some enhanced screenshots of the newspaper clipping and some speculation on what it says.
http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Newspaper_clipping

And for those saying it was Sawyer or Ben in the casket, remember Jack wanted to kill himself after reading about it (that added to the drinking and drug addiction), so it must be someone that was important to him.

A possible deciphered version of the clipping:

The body of John Lantham of New York was found shortly
after 4 am in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue. Ted Worden,
a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises
coming from the victim's loft. Concerned for tenants'
safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging
from a beam in the living room. According to Jaime Ortiz,
a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide
after medical tests. Latham (sic) is survived by one
teenaged son. Memorial services will be held at the
Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Home tomorrow evening.

This could well be about Michael (supposing he changed his name after he got off the island), because he might not have been able to live with what he had done to get off the island. The teenage son is Walt. And the Hoffs/Drawler funeral parlour was in a black neighbourhood, made obvious by the writers.

The person in the casket could be either Locke or Sawyer.

Peace.

The reason I don't think it's Sawyer is because Kate said "Why would I go to their funeral?"...

If it was Sawyer, she would of gone.

Maybe even the same for Locke.

That is why I think it's Ben or Michael.

Also, Hoffs/Drawlar is an anagram of "Flashforward" ;)

Well I just finished watching the entire season(been watching it since Friday) and here is my review of the season as a whole. First off let me just say to all of you lost fans that I did not watch a single episode when they aired and I won't ever again. I watched them all back to back and thank god I did because I probably would have shot myself from the slow pacing of the first six episodes.

Anyway,here we go.
After the pisser of the season 2 finale I was a bit put off by this show to say the least, with the loose ends and all,and well, they pretty much did it again. I personally found that this season was constructed into two segments(which was obvious with the two month hiatus). The first 6 episodes were extremely slow paced in regards to the stuff happening on the island, and ultimately,I found myself more interested in the back stories just like I was in the first season. Now after the hiatus I do feel that the show really picked up for the better with the survivors and the others. I guess my only problem is that I think that the whole thing with the others and Ben is a little bit lame.I wish someone would have just put a bullet in his head and be done with them.

My other problem with this show is that there are entirely too many loose ends from season to season.I am definitly fine with the loose ends of this past season but what about stuff from the first two season? What stuff you ask?Well...

The numbers.
They seem to be bad luck for Hurley but is that it? I hope not because that would be extremely weak, being that they were pretty much the crux of the entire show, they were even on the websiste with a diagram of the plane and now it's like we are supposed to forget about them.

Walt's mysterious powers.
Here's another thing that seemed to be a main point of interest. There was an episode in season 1 where Micheal had to go to Australia to get Walt because his mother just died and his step father said that he couldn't deal with him because "Thing just happen when he's around".WTF is up with that shit!
The smoke monster.
I was told that the smoke monster was kinda explained on that special show, but do we really know what it is?3 seasons have come and gone and we still don't know where it comes from or what it really is.

The big stone four toed foot.
This is perhaps the biggest "?" to me.For all of you WWE fans that have been watching for a long time,it's like when Mae Young was pregnant with Mark Henry's baby and she gave birth to a foot(I'm not makin' that shit up either! It was really a fuckin' slimey ass foot!).It makes no sense.

There are a few more but why bother, you get the point.

I did enjoy watching this season but I'm glad I didn't go week to week waiting to see what's gonna happen next.I feel that there are some really great episodes in this season.I especially enjoyed the one with couple who stole the diamonds(Nikki and Paulo),very Twilight Zone'ish, but the story as a whole is starting to wear thin for me.When I finished watching the season finale just a few hours ago,I didn't feel excited about finding out what was gonna happen next season.Party because I know in my heart that ABC is gonna dick around with it some sort of way.

Oh well, sorry for the long ass post.Just thought I would throw 2 bucks in.

Some people still don't seem to get that there's atleast 2 other seasons left, so did you really expected every answers in season 3? Most of the questions that were not answered are questions that can only be answered at the end of the show or else there would be no point for the show to continue... Its obvious that they don't give a lot of answers because they want to make a lot of other seasons...

Of course I didn't expect all of the questions to be answered at the end of this season, but when there are way more questions asked than answers given, then there seems to be a problem to me.It's so blatantly obvious that the network told the producers to stretch the show out as long as possible, when they found out the the show was a hit. After the first season,I though that it should not go any longer that 4 seasons,to tell a thorough good paced story, now it is gonna go for 3 not 2 more seasons(I do think that will change to though when the ratings continue to slip as they have been doing).

Look, don't get me wrong, there were some really great episodes, but can you not agree that the show is moving at a snails pace?

You do know that ABC has already announced that the show will end in the 2009-2010 season? There will be 3 more seasons with 16 episodes each. So the show will not end early because of rating slipping or anything like that.

And I think the show is moving at a perfect pace. What some people don't understand is that this show is based on questions. Everytime they solve a question they will put out 2 more. When they have the series finale all the questions will be answered. That's why I like this show, it makes you think. You can put out your own theories and wonder what's going on. In due time you will know the truth. Some people don't like that, and they have there opinion. But obviously millions of other people enjoy the show.

They also said that we would find out everything about Daybreak within 13 weeks or so, and look where that ended up.Don't ever underestimate the fact that ABC is run by a bunch of monkeys(and the rest of the networks for that matter)and if the rating are shit, you bet your ass they will shorten it up or take some other kind of action.

I will say that the only argument that can be made about the pacing is that a season is about equal to a month on the show.If you ask anyone who has stopped watching the show why they have bailed, and I guarantee you they will say that they feel the story is too slow.I can think of three other people besides myself that feel this way.But I haven't completely jumped ship.I just watch the whole season in a weekend on DVD and be done with it.

The show was cancelled after the fourth or fifth episode and ABC put the rest of the episodes online. It was real genius on there part to start a show and run it during the holiday season:rolleyes: .It was a really good show, too bad they took it off the site now.

Another prediction for next season:

The island is effected by the tsunami that hit thailand.

The producers said that a real world event will effect the islanders, and the timing is perfect for the tsunami.

That scenario was on my mind the last several episodes, because I think we just passed 90 days, and the tsunami would fall on day 95.
