Lost

Yeah, a lot of people think that, the loop theory. It seems almost cliche to me and I really hope that they don't go that way. Personally, I don't really want to see a big twist ending. I would like to have the answers played out through the course of the storytelling, and then by the time the last episodes roll around we already know the secrets of the island and the characters and it just has a simple resolution where all the characters are saying goodbye and "our work here is done" or else all together and "look towards the future." that's how I'd like to see it end.
I have to trot off to cynical land, but I don't see any "final resolution" because I think ABC/DL/CC will want to leave the door open for a couple of movies down the road. I do think we will get answers to major issues without them "planting new seeds," but this series has lived/died by the big cliffhanger. I could sort of see some sort of cliffhanger.

Given how the Island stuff has jumped right into sci-fi turf (sweet), I would have liked to have the off-island stuff more grounded in life drama, like it was last season, and shy away from the fantasy. This whole "let's assemble the A-team!" was a bit much for me. But I understand that they needed to get the ball rolling and throw alot together.
.
Have to disagree a little here. We had to suffer through last season of seeing the lives of the "Oceanic 6" spiral out of control. No more Hurley in the nuthouse. No more Jack popping pills and looking like a unibomber. We need to kick up the action this season.

Hurley is a good actor. All of the "originals" are good actors. We have been too fixated on Ben, Juliet, The Others, The Freighters...we've forgotton how good the originals are. It was nice to see Rose and Bernard again!

I like the time travel aspect...so far. I don't like "smoke monster" and am skeptical that I can ever be convinced to take it's existence *seriously.*

How sweeeet was it to see Ana Lucia? I got the old "Lost Chills" up the back of my neck when I saw her....

Maybe CC/DL do have a clue where there are going with the show and it can experience a nice rebound...

well I'd contrast that with the flashbacks which weren't usually very action packed, but where all about character development. The same way you feel about the smoke monster is how I feel about this spy game stuff, it seems too campy. With every season they try new things and some of them work and some of them don't. I think this has always been a show that has carried most of it's weight on being character driven and manged to narrowly juggle stretching the bounds of believability because of it, and I'd like to keep seeing that, now more than ever.

I completely agree with this. I do consider LOST a character-driven show. Season 1 was perfect in that respect. It seems each subsequent season we've seen them try new things at the expense of the Originals. Maybe we're getting back to focusing on the Originals since DL/CC have an end date for the show and a decreasing episode count.

Tonight's episode was a pretty solid followup. It's still a bit aggravating that Locke continues to be clowned by people he "trusts." Richard Albert pretty much fraked with him and the compass. Certainly it was an important act for Richard to receive that compass, but it looks like it was for a *future* event rather than for helping Locke:1orglaugh:weeping: The Locke Deception continues (Ben, Locke's mom, Locke's Dad all deceived him)...

How cool was the Charles Widmore...shocker....pretty cool.

Maybe Desmond really is charlies dad. I mean charlie from the island. Also Aaron is Locke's dad and locke is actually his own grandfather because christian shepard is his son. and widmore is ben's dad and mr. paik was an Other...

stupid, stupid idea. if a couple things end up as the result of time travel it's cool, but for all of them to hinge on it will destroy the show in absurdity.

also the whole thing about burying the H-bomb made me immediately think of that mysterious particle cluster in the center of the Island, which would be a really stupid connection that makes no sense.

The Others in Army uniforms were shooting the flaming arrows, if you remember they were shown later on with bow and arrows. bow and arrows are a simple and effective weapon to make from your natural surroundings.

The guns they confiscated from the Army units most likely ran out of ammo at some point.

no no no....but maybe?.....no.
charlies dad was a butcher.
lockes dad was tom sawyer.,Ted MacLaren, Louis Jackson ,Adam Seward ect.
i dont think they will mess with that.

I do now believe Ms. Hawking is faradays mom.

One thing baffling is the 1954 others, where are they in 2004-2007,8?
I thought some were immortal, like richard.
And how did widmore come to leave the island?
I bet ben tricked him into it ......sneaky guy that he is..

i have to be honest i haven't been able to get into the show this season. i am dvr'ing all the episodes so maybe i can do a Day-Long LOST watch. but im not to interested in it or im losing interest since last partial season.
i missed the last 4 shows of last season due to forgetting to set my DVR and i guess that just put me out of really caring to see what happens.

Spleen

Banned?
Hi, my name is spleen and I'm a lostoholic.

But it's been 2 weeks since my last hit, and I am happy to say I'm finally going clean.

It was fun at first, I was curious I guess. Peer pressure also had something to do with it, all my friends would talk about it on the weekends, so I just had to see what it was like for myself.

For a couple of years I was addicted, I was out of control. I couldn't even see a downside to it all then. Then I started feeling the side-effects. Confusion, anger... After 4 years, I can finally see just how terrible it is, and I really want to be free of it. I had a relapse this season and injected 2 episodes, but it made me think: Do I really wanna be like this for another 2 years? So I've given up. I am going cold turkey. It will be hard at first, I'm still tempted to get another hit. But I must be strong, I can do this.

I just hope all the other addicts out there will see just how terrible it is, and will be able to free themselves from this awful, incoherent drug.

Thank you for listening, it feels good to get it off my chest...

it's just a Tv show. I mean it's my favorite show and I get all geeked out about it, but I'd say I probably spend about 2 hours a week thinking about it, and consider that 60 minutes of that time is spent watching the actual episode, I'd say that it has a pretty minor impact on my overall life.

I often find myself thinking, "what would sawyer say?"
or "what would jack do?"
Sayid and Locke have also played a major role in my life.

When someone looks familiar I usually say " Do I know you Brotha?"

And I am always searching for a girl with a face like Claire, butt like Kate, and boobs like Juliette, with a down to earth attitude of Libby (god rest her soul).
I play the numbers in the lottery.

my favorite bands are driveshaft and jerimiah jackson.

Maybe I'm crazy, I should just "let it goi".
What am I "supposed to do?".

don't forget that whenever you turn on the TV you channel surf to try and see if Expose`! is on.

Legzman

I used to spend days thinking about LOST...back in Season 1/Season 2. I read as many of the book references as I could. I read that Flann O'Brien book that was in the hatch--which portended that "they all could be dead"..then I read "Lancelot" by Walker Percy. Sawyer was reading it on the beach back in Season 2 I believe. I actually got into Walker Percy and read another one his books. "Lancelot" was brilliant. Not sure how it *connected* to Sawyer or the show. They pretty much stopped with the book references in Season 3. I remember spending hours and hours trying to decode that damn hatch map...I LOVED that scene when Locke found it..

Ok, I just finished watching last nights episode.

It showed Sawyer looking at Kate and Clair during Claires delivery of Aaron. Sawyer didnt make his presence to them, which means when that episode aired, Sawyer was in the background.

I think this explains how the castaways saw people who they thought were dead, like when Jack saw his father.

Another theory I came up with is that the show is actually going backwards. The series pilot is actually the series finale with time going the opposite way. It gets kind of deep and I will try to explain later depending on how this season goes.

We have to remember that the "time-traveling" or "parallel-universe hopping" was unleashed when Ben "moved" the island. When the swan hatch blew up, that purple haze light must have been something different. All we know is it gave Desmond his ability to "see things" happen, or look at different time waves. So, I don't think "present" Sawyer was actually there with Kate/Claire. The different parallel universes were still moving separately on separate continuems basically..theoretically...

I don't know why the presence of the Oceanic 6 back on the island will "right" the situation. That doesn't make much sense to me at this point.

I fucking dropped a deuce in my pants when Jin was alive. I did NOT know he was....
