Contrary to what you believe, the moderates are doing their best to take back religion. Only problem is that you don't hear them much because the western media consistently (often intentionally) ignored them so they are waging a battle on two fronts, the extremists that hijacked their religion and the media that prefer to demonize them for the sake of boosting ratings. Also, many of U.S.'s islamic allies (including Pakistan and Afghanistan) are fighting against extremists and their actions alone speak volumes more than you would want to hear the moderates denounce them.
This really grinds my gears. I watched it last week and thought it was hilarious. Just look at how Matt and Tray have portrayed Jesus in South Park over the years. You don’t get Christians threatening to kill them. But Comedy Central has even now had to beep out the name Muhammad. Well I’m sorry when things like this happen. It proves we are living in fear of religious terrorists. Is it not giving in to them and letting them win? A free world my arse!!! :2 cents:

Yeah, that bleeping out Mohamed's name when we all heard it last week was so silly I thought it was a joke at first. Buddha snorting coke and Jesus on the internet porn (I wonder if he was on Freeones, lol) just shows the lunacy of hardline muslims. Everybody and everyone shouldn't be above being made fun of.
Or Jesus erotically washing himself in front of a gay baby on Family Guy. Or Larry David pissing on a crucifix. Or Bill Maher calling the Vatican a gay fashion show.
These violent and/or threatening muslims are clearly a minority, but it's sad that there's an even smaller minority who share the faith and are vocally apposed to the extreme tactics that some use to "preserve" it.
I hate that they caved for these whack job towel heads. They should have shown Mohammed in a daycare center looking for a modern day bride, is what they should have done!

just thought i'd point out to some folks that Muslims are followers of Islam. Islam is a religion. Islam is not a race. There are white, brown, black, red and yellow Muslims. Again it is not a race.
So when you say someone is racist against Muslims or Islam then you look pretty silly because it is not a race its a religion or someone who follows that religion. Someone may be prejudice against Islam or Muslims but thats it and no other label is needed. Racists are people who are prejudiced against other people simply because of their race regardless of their religious beliefs.
for example:
Joe says, "I sure hate people who drive Chryslers."
Bob responds, "You fucking racist!"
in this example we see that Bob is mistaken. So, I'm not going to point out the particular posters who made this mistake, but I thought i'd just go ahead and educate you. you're welcome.

Racist is just a easy word to throw around to try and make someone else look bad. Usually if I see the word tossed in the mix of a debate I ignore it or replace it with the actual word. Either way it really reflects on the person who is tossing it out in the middle of a debate. It is no different than calling someone names when you no longer able to keep up with the debate or know you are cornered and losing the debate.

I am a bit torn about this issue.
I know a lot of muslims, some are really believers, some are a bit like most of us christians - basically we are into the faith but we ain't really being hardcore into our beliefs.
The trouble is that a really small group of asswipes - be they in the christian, the muslim or whatever faith - are stirring up things and everyone goes 'Fuck, those damn guys are insane'
But it's just a little group. The major part of believers are really down-to-earth and not crazy.

Actually, from what I hear, a lot of Mormons liked the SP episode about them because of what the kid says at the very end (thank you wikiquote)

They showed it on TV at 8 MST but I didnt watch cause i tuned in to the Ultimate Fighter thinking they were going to Re-air the new SP episode after Stewart/Colbert like they usually do, but they didnt, I also looked on the guide for today and it looks like their not showing the new episode, damn guess im not gonna be able to see it fuuuuuck!!
