Guns Guns Guns !!!

Huh?

go to iraq already
Huh?
Other than my working on a few defensive systems deployed to Iraq, I don't see how there is any tie here.

I don't know anyone who own guns to kill people.
I only know they own them to deter such, or for game, not people.

But many people are killed by them, a lot of them family members by accident. There were more Americans killed at home by guns during the Vietnam war than by the Viet Cong.

let's see, so far we have:

hk tactical .45 cal w/ awc suppressor
hk p2000 40 cal w/laser light
glock 17
s&w police issue 38
rra ar15
My cousin shot with one hk usp mk 23 tactical two years ago, he said that it was a good gun but he preferred his p14-45 for many reasons: better accuracy, better magazine capacity (15 rounds for the p14 and 12 for the usp mk23 tactical). The glock 17, I shot with one 9 years ago. I don't like it I still prefer my Imi Jericho 941 RF (or Magnum Research Baby Eagle in the USA). The glock 17 has a weird feeling in the hand for me. The IMI Jericho is an improved cz 85 with improved safeties and a better barrel, accuracy and shootability are superior to the glock. Another gun in 9mm para gets my vote it is the para ord p18-9, perhaps a single action auto but one of the hell of a reliable shooter with an improved extractor and novak tritium sights.
For revolvers, s&w model 29 dirty harry revolver with 6 1/2 inches barrel in 44 magnum.

If you guys or gal were going buy a .357 revolver. What brands would you consider without getting crazy price wise?

I have not bought a gun in about 8 years.

Thanks!

Smith and Wesson's are expensive, but very good. For more reasonably priced revolvers "Taurus" is your best bet

Go for a Ruger. American built, and roughly the same cost as a Taurus.
High end - Smith & Wesson.

Save up the extra cash, and wait to buy a Smith & Wesson...when it comes to guns, you get what you pay for. When it comes to wheel guns, S&W is about the best as far as I'm concerned. I've always had very good luck with the brand, and have nothing bad to say about them. I like the 586/686 model...it's built on a little stronger frame, and handles the +p loads a little better.

Very unique looking maildude. How does it shoot?

I recently picked up a AR-15, Spikes Lower assembly with ambi selector, a CMMG Upper M4-A2 style. Going to throw some BUIS sights, a OEG sight further along the Tory quad rail and a Stubby foregrip.

To be honest, KF, I haven't taken it out of the box yet. I picked it up at a gun show. I was with a buddy who knows a helluva lot more than me about firearms. He knew I was looking for a semi, so he suggested this one.

If I wanted to shoot myself in the head what gun would you recommend?
I wouldn't. I would tell you that, if you're gonna take the bitch way out, at least have enough courtesy to not make a huge mess for your family to clean up, and don't stir up the anti gun freaks by doing something stupid, and giving them a reason to flap their jaws and whine about how bad guns are. If you need to do it, take a handful of pills, wash it down with a bottle of whiskey, and take a permanent nap.

From reading this thread, I'm amazed that so many people have such a large collection of guns. Why do you need so many? :dunno:
