Hi Georges,
Define "damage"....
I lost 6 members of 2nd platoon when a regular 50 cal took out the tail rotor just as we about to deploy during Toan Thang...
..."damage" is subjective I guess.
Georges: I don't mean to be personal. I am not chastising you. Just presenting a different perspective.
But I agree with most folks here who said that "those who argue for banning 50 cal weapons because 'they can take down airliners' are talking out of their ass".
cheers,
The m2 and a Barrett are two completely different animals though. Shooting a plane out of the sky with a machine gun v. a semi-auto or bolt action are two completely different things.
But again, anything's possible. Just not probable.
Never been into the WW-vintage rifles all that much. If it's got a wooden stock I'm not much into it, with the exception of a Thompson. Most of what I like is anything modern.
Damn! Is that the Indian one?

Indeed it is. Following my procrastinating tendencies, I decided to start doing the research on the gun after I bought it, well I found out that they can only handle 7.62 NATO spec ammo, which is loaded to much lower pressures than comercially produced .308 winchester. Well, I can't find any surplus .308 anywhere so I have to roll my own. I was planning on doing that anyway, but I'm even having a hard time finding new brass.
Just got some parts from them, good company.

.762
.762
7.62? x38mm? x25mm? x39mm? x51mm? x54mm? x63mm? x33mm?
Okay now I'll say it. Huh?
Do you want those calibers?
Don't we all.
I wouldn't mind parking a 105mm in my driveway. Bet I wouldn't get door-to-door salesmen.
Just adding to the short comings of the previous posts with 762 in them... seems like it was a continuing thing.
I'm not a big fan of it. I'd still love to try out a .308 AR.
That would be 7.62X51mm
